First of all, thx. For me you enter in Hall of Fame for this small piece of plugin. When u use a WP Mu, it’s boring to generate a config for all websites.
Actually because now you manage a “unique” WP rocket, if u are administrator and not super admin, you can’t empty cache…
Then you know what is my request ? Can it be possible to just manage something to left administrator of sub website to clear his own cache ?
Best regards.
]]>Now? No.
sblog.universal-nexus.com and h2g2.universal-nexus.com have, by all appearances, lost the ability to display themes correctly at all, or just about anything else scripty when on the actual sites. Dashboard is working fine.
Initially none of the sites worked if I was signed in, but loaded fine if I looked like Ye Random Visitor. Disabled Jetpack and that resolved. But after doing that sblog and h2g2 do not load correctly for anyone on any browser by any method I’ve been able to test (Safari and Firefox on latest iOS; Firefox, Chrome, Safari on desktop all freshly updated).
I’ve checked anything and everything that might be a different setting on those two sites than any others that work, but haven’t found a single difference. This, I’ve a feeling, is a deeper problem where I get the oh-so-fun task of tinkering directly in the SQL or the files on the host which is not really terrible except for not having a single clue where to start, nor even a very good notion where to find the answer as the closest matches from Google are for a far more extreme sort-of-similar problem.
]]>i do know that you have a add-on that allows you to control backups for all mu sites.
But will updraft central allow to start backups on, lets say 5 wp-mu installations, from 1 “mothership” ??
Thanks

]]>After searching my files through file manager and not finding the redirect, I installed your 410 plugin to serve a 410 error page instead of redirecting to my main domain. Those URL’s are currently still redirecting to my main domain, which is where the plugin is installed.
Am I doing something wrong or will this plugin not work because the site has been deleted?

]]>I thank if someone could help me understand.
The site I made about a year ago is hosted by Godaddy. At the moment it runs WP 4.1 and it has two sites besides the main one.
Till some days ago, everything was well working. Two weeks ago, I visited by chance the home page: the site disappeared, I found only a white page with a big panel telling “Error in establishing DataBase connection”. Wondering what could have happened, I replaced the file index.php (the WP index file in the domain root) with a simple forwarder in php. This change made the site again visible, and well working, but the images in the home page of the sites 2 and 3 weren’t visible. Also the link colors weren’t correct, such as the .css weren’t working.
Moreover, it’s funny that the logo is visible. The images in the internal pages are ok, since in the pages I wrote manually images urls (instead of calling them from media).
Some days later I experienced the same problem (bad DataBase connection) in an other site, not MU. I simply replaced the index.php file in the root with a forwarder and everything was ok.
The technical help of Godaddy wasn’t able to solve the problem: they decided to restore the situation of a month ago, but anything changed.
I’m not a technician, but I’m persuaded that something changed in Godaddy server configuration, something that I cannot manage.
Could someone suggest me what I could do trying to undersand what happened, and help me solve that “strange issue”?

Thanks for your help
]]>I am trying to use the domain mapping plugin and connect a subdomain to a wp mu site without any luck. Is this at all possible with this plugin? If not, does anyone have any advice how to go about this?
What I am trying to do is the following:
– I have a site under juliakaradi.com – successful domain mapping here
– I would like to map psychology.juliakaradi.com to another site/wp install within the same wp mu setting
– the domain name is set correctly and without domain mapping it points to the wp mu
– when I set up what I want in domain mapping – subdomain to another site – the site does not load
Thanks so much for any advice!

]]>I have a file: Jake’s Last Mission.png
It uploads fine, to some of the blogs. To others it gives an HTTP error.
After nearly going absolutely mad trying to fix permissions and figure out if a plugin was getting in the way I fixed it by renaming the file: JakesLastMission.jpeg (I’d converted it previously because some thing suggested PNG files are wont to cause the error). That worked.
Why on the same installation of WordPress would the filename be a problem on one blog, but not the other?
]]>However, on the network admin dashboard > sites > edit site; we can edit the name of a subsite(as well as its url).
I found this by accident and I have been meaning to use it.
However, a WordPress MU guide book warns:
“it is possible to change a site name…, doing so on an existing site can have a dramatic outcome if you
change the length of the site name”.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t explain what the dramatic outcome is and whether it affects a new WPMU site (with no posts) or not.
Any advise please?
