Having an issue connecting to ProtonMail SMTP. I have setup the smtp mailer settings, triple checked the credentials but I can’t identify the configuration issue. Here are the log. Please help.

Test email not being sent

Hi everyone!

When trying to send the test email, nothing happens for a long while till the plugin crashes and shows a view that says so.

Now, when triggering the delivery attempt by clicking the button displayed for that purpose, I’ve been able to catch an error in the console that says something like this:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'id')
at c (index.min.js?ver=1680789596:1:217)
at HTMLDocument. (index.min.js?ver=1680789596:1:2580)

I am wondering if it has something to do with my cache plugin (SG Optimizer, since my site’s hosted at SiteGround).

Info on my system:

Version: 6.2
WP Multisite: No
Max Upload Size: 28 Mb
Memory limit: 256M
Max Memory limit: 256M
PHP Version: 7.4.33
PHP Memory Limit: 768M
PHP Max Input Vars: 10000

The error is often this one :

Hello

I have had to change the email address with this plugin because it was wrong.

I have uninstalled it and installed again with the correct email.

I have generated the gmail API and the client secret key. When I pressed “Allow the plugin to send emails using your Google account” I get the error message “Error 400: redirect_uri_mismatch. The redirect URI in the request, https://saboreandosingluten.es/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wp-mail-smtp&tab=auth, does not match the ones authorized for the OAuth client. To update the authorized redirect URIs, visit: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials/oauthclient/92461284544-j4l5v57krcvl42pva2kiq4qnjmlm1b1d.apps.googleusercontent.com

I check the dates and I copied and pasted ok, so I don’t know how I can fix it. I’ve read other toppics but I couldn’t find the correct answer to me case.

Bug with personal SMTP server and no longer seems to be independent

Hello, I would have recommended this free plugin for a while. But no more today. I didn’t use pro version. Since the author seems to have reached an agreement with the Sendiblue? services. As usual, in the settings, Sendiblue is recommended for this SMTP plugin. If you also install the plugin “SendinBlue – Registration Forms and SMTP WordPress” which is my case, WP Mail SMTP by WPForms favors sending by SendinBlue, even if you deselect the transactional sending of emails. If you are trying to make your SMTP server work with it, it uses the Sendiblue service to send all emails from your website. And with e-mails for alerts, various informations, the free 300 e-mails / day are sometimes quickly reached. What caught my attention was that I received an alert from Sendiblue? when I had not used their service recently to do emailling. I find that the information is not transparent and honest on the subject. I uninstalled this SMTP plugin and use today Easy WP SMTP which works very well without these problems… I installed cron task on my server too. I lost a day of work because of this problem. But it was critical for my shop because my customers and me were no longer receiving messages to confirm orders or others informations.
