Server Error 500 After Modifying functions.php – Need Help Resolving the Issue

Hello everyone,

I recently encountered a 500 Internal Server Error on my WordPress site after making some changes to the functions.php file. I was attempting to add custom code to disable a specific HTML element on my website, but when I tried saving the changes, the site suddenly stopped loading and returned a 500 error on the front-end.

Here’s what I did:

I added some custom PHP code to remove a specific HTML element (a newsletter section) from the site.
After saving the changes, the website returned a 500 Internal Server Error when I tried to access it.

Can anyone help me resolve this? Any suggestions on what might have caused this error or how I can fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Error: Failed to create interstitial state

For some reason, I’m getting redirected to the signin page, or I generate an error: Failed to create interstitial state.

When I try to generate a new password to the site, it recycles the signin form, and warns me that the new password I had received seconds ago, was outdated.

I’ve disabled the plugin ‘better-wp-security’ as a user had that warning from their plugin, 2 years, 2 months ago.

I’ve tried signing into the site using an incognito window, tried clearing cache and cookies, but nothing seems to be working.

The Hosting Company can sign in. They tell me to wait awhile after restarting my computer. They’ve cleared their server cache.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Listing creates are disabled for frozen shops

I have a WP website hosted by SiteGround. The site consists of an e-commerce (woocommerce) store stocked with products published from Printify. I have run into a problem where listings have ceased publishing as expected. This is a new problem – I have previously successfully published 300+ Printify products to the store. Printify advise that the problem is showing in their error logs as ‘Listing creates are disabled for frozen shops’. I have spoken with Siteground and there are no issues with the website. Both they and Printify state the problem is at the WP end. My store is premierleaguegear.com. They appear to be no problems with the site itself.

I have deactivated all WP plugins in case one of them is causing the problem but that made no difference.

Is anyone able to help me out here?

I cannot access the login page as well as the site it gives out the error “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

I have:

Disabled plugins and active theme to a WordPress default one

Changed file permissions

Updated the .htaccess file to a basic one

But still getting the same error.

Cron not firing and random errors

Cron jobs stopped firing as of March 29, 2023. Tried every variation of cron job configuration both on WP side and on server side. Nothing seems to get them to fire. Sometimes you can get it to work manually. Keeps showing duplicates in the logs even with duplicate checking turned off.

Now I’m getting the following error “Please refresh your browser and try again.”

hey guys,
i am a beginner and I need your help.

I tried to build a website for our small company. I installed some plugins and a global template but now I cannot reach my website anymore, I cannot edit the pages.

I tried it with Mac Safari, and from another PC with different browsess and but I got always different error messages: 403, 404, Firewall settings etc.

the WP app on my Google Pixel also does not work: I could deactivate some plugins but the other ones I cannot anymore.

Via FTP I have already replaced the .htacces file. I deactivated the plugins which I could. What should I do now? I have to be ready with our homepage until Monday or Tuesday :S:S:S::S:S

Pls help me.
