It looks like index.php isn’t even being served by Apache, I’m seeing a 301 generated in the logs.
I AM able to view the admin index.php page, but I also cannot choose a template or see any templates show up (“preview”) in the panel on the right when I try to select/change templates within the dashboard.
I have no .htaccess files. All permissions for the wordpress folder and all contained files/folders have been changed to 777 with chmod. I’m running Apache 2.4. OS X 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro.
This didn’t used to be a problem, everything worked fine previous to 3.7.1, I think, but I don’t know if I can still recover the previous installation in a backup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Can you, please, suggest any pluging that is working with the latest version of WP and that can cache the DB queries? I can also try any other pluging but some of them are not working with Google Adsense (ads are not showing anymore when the plugin is running).
Thanks for all for the help!

]]>In doing troubleshooting to fix the calendar, I upgraded to 3.7.1, with no change in behavior.
Read some of the posts here, and tried the suggestions that worked for others: changing the https to http, and changing the Retrieve events from/until settings from Beginning/End of Time. The only action that sort of worked was the latter of those, using “Start of current month” as the “Retrieve events from setting” got the entries for this month only to show, nothing in the future, no matter what I set the “until” time to.
We have events in both the past and future. No arrows show to go back and forward either. There is the Calendar page and one in the sidebar, which both worked well until this week apparently.
This Google Calendar is part of an individual’s account, so no global settings etc. like in Google Apps. I don’t know what else to try at this point, could you have a look, please? This app is the best one I’ve tried, so I’m really hoping for a solution!

https://gridone.us.com/contact-us/
Last Tuesday, we moved all our websites from a legacy server environment at GoDaddy that used a single port running on Apache 2.2 to a load balanced grid server environment running Apache 2.4. Since then, every one of our websites started experiencing 500 internal server errors whenever we updated the MySQL datebase. Godaddy spent hours yesterday investigating everything possible on its servers and the error logs we’ve been running. It was exhaustive and they found nothing amiss.
Not only were we experiencing these server errors working in the backend of WP, when we would visit the sites, we would get a blank screen. Additionally, the WP Super Cache test started showing a time stamp difference on all six installations. When we deactivated WP Super Cache, it went to white screen again and required many refreshes even to accomplish that. Same when we deleted it. Now that we’ve deleted it on all our websites, they are functioning normally again.
Obviously, there are a lot of variables that could affect what is going on. Is it the new WordPress? Is it the load balancing server structure or Apache 2.4? Is it some combination of all of these? With the exhausting checking of our server environment and addressing all error log issues for a problem that was occurring on different WP installations with different themes, it appears that the culprit most likely is WP Super Cache.
We encourage the developer to investigate this and test out the plugin in the server environment we have described to see if there are, in fact, some coding issues that need to be addressed.
Thanks,
Don Shapiro
