I have set the worker on many sites and in rare chances, they hit the 1027 limit because worker upon hitting free limit blocks the traffic. I do change the worker failure mode manually during setting it up, but if they probably deactivate the plugin and reactivated back, the worker goes back to default settings.
]]>We have been using the plugin with the workers mode on our site for a while, but we have been getting pretty inconsistent results. Sometimes I get cf-cache-status: HIT and other times it will be DYNAMIC. This is the case for all the subpages on the site too. We’re not making any changes to the site in the meantime either. I’m also not sure if the preloader works correctly for us.
It’s most likely due to something I missed, therefore I wonder if you know any ways to fix this? If you need more information I’m happy to provide it, thank you.
]]>Are static files counted in Workers requests?
Is it possible to disable workers for static files in wp-content folder as discussed in below link?
https://community.cloudflare.com/t/are-static-files-counted-in-service-workers-requests/140508/3
Thank you.
]]>Background:
We are using SGO’s “Cloudflare Full Page Caching” (Workers) feature.
Issue:
Every time we make a small custom change to our WP dashboard (for example, change the font size and font weight of a dashboard widget), the change does not appear until we disable and/or clear Cloudflare’s cache.
Discussion:
We understand that your plugin automatically bypasses caching of wp-admin. Plus, as suggested by one of your SG support agents, we have also set up a custom rule in Cloudflare to bypass cache for /wp-admin/*. Apparently, this is not working.
Request:
Any thoughts on what’s going on? Can you revisit your code (and test it against a WP dashboard widget change) to make sure Cloudflare Full Page Caching (Workers) is properly bypassing cache of WP’s menu, plugins, and dashboard widgets?
Useful Tip:
We are not using any other caching plugin other than SGO and Cloudflare.
Thank you!
]]>When I click on ‘manager workers’ in my sites Cloudflare setting, it goes to a page which states…
“You may use this subdomain to deploy your application live to Cloudflare’s global network. You can change it at any time.”
Can I ignore this? will WP Cloudflare Super Page Cache work just fine without it?
]]>We were told by SG Customer Support that SG Railgun is no longer functional, yet our Cloudflare dashboard still shows it’s active and fully functional. That is, our dynamic content is being cached (i.e., we’re getting a “HIT”)
If you no longer recommend we use SG Railgun, what other Cloudflare functionalities should we stop using while using SGO’s Full Page Caching Feature?
Please explain. Thank you.
]]>We absolutely love your plugin however this is one downfall which we are able to overcome – Edge Side Includes.
On our WooCommerce store, dynamic content such as price variations with coupons, our Amazon style purchase timer (Order within xxxx to get this item on Tuesday) etc do not work due to the nature of the way the plugin caches the content.
I’ve been experimenting with OpenLiteSpeed, LiteSpeed Cache and QUIC.cloud and have found that these items are automatically setup with ESI so that only these small parts of the page are left as dynamic content where as the rest of the page is statically cached.
With LiteSpeed cache and QUIC.cloud, I simply need to add ‘esi’ to any shortcodes or a simple line to the javascript and all this content can be easily cached dynamically.
CloudFlare have supported ESI with CloudFlare workers for some time now which serves exactly the same purpose as what LiteSpeed cache has already achieved thus far.
Is it possible to setup your workers so that they automatically include ESI for the essential parts of WooCommerce?
The page speed we get from your plugin is sensational, however losing all dynamic functionality on the pages which are statically cached is of no use when running an ECommerce store as this removes all personal experience for the user.
Please do let us know if you plan to implement this in the future as we’d love to stay with your plugin, however the downfalls are starting to outweigh the benefits when I know there is a solution out there which already works.
Many thanks for your time!
]]>Does the plugin use Cloudflare Workers behind the scenes, even when this option is disabled? Or is there a bug in the plugin?
]]>There appears to be only one article (listed below) that describes SG Optimizer’s feature, Cloudflare (Full Page Caching). Unfortunately, it does not include information that may be helpful to many plugin users.
Based on the above, it would be great if SiteGround can answer the following questions:
(1) How much faster is SGO Cloudflare (Full Page Caching) vs. Cloudflare (Page Rules)? Your article does not provide any metrics, benchmarks, numbers, or percentages. Data appreciated.
(2) SGO Cloudflare (Full Page Caching) — when activated — deletes all Cloudflare Page Rules. Further, the Page Rules are not restored when SGO Cloudflare (Full Page Caching) is deactivated. What are your recommendations for preserving and/or restoring Cloudflare’s Page Rules? (other than recreating them manually, which is quite painful when you’re using 15+ Page Rules)
(3) How does SGO Cloudflare (Full Page Caching) treat dynamic content? (e.g., website pages using Gravity Forms, User Logins, Booking Forms, WooCommerce payments pages, Calendars, etc.). Is the entire page still cached (regardless of each individual plugin’s cache/no-cache settings)?
(4) SGO Cloudflare (Full Page Caching via CDN’s Workers) has a limit of 100,0000 requests/day and 1000 requests/minute. Exceeding these limits will require upgrading to a more expensive Cloudflare plan and/or pay extra for exceeding these limits. What tools does SG recommend to determine our website’s hits per day or per minute?
(5) If we’re using SGO’s Dynamic Cache and MemCached successfully (as well as Cloudflare caching via Page Rules), do you still recommend activating SGO’s Cloudflare (Full Page Caching)? If so, why? Please be specific (numbers, data, etc.). For example, % increase in TTFB, Lighthouse Performance Scores, WebPageTest Scores, GTMetrix Scores, etc.
(6) What percentage of SG customers are currently using SGO’s Cloudflare (Full Page Caching) feature? Publishing metrics (e.g., pie charts, etc.) showing how SG customers are using your plugin and respective settings would be beneficial to many.
Thank you in advance for your help. It would be great if you can “pin” this topic. Will help many long term.
Cheers!
