WordPress won’t update on my site. Keeps saying automatic update failed and when I try and do it manually it doesn’t work either. Then went I try and update plugins it changes to “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” And then I can’t log back in.

Have cleared cache by the way

Complete WordPress beginner here with no developer experience. Just have a very basic site with elementor.

New WordPress dashboard overrides custom dashboard view

It seems as though the latest wordpress update overrides my custom elementor dashboard view when I was setting up a new site today. As soon as I clicked on “You can always go back to the classic version of the dashboard” at the bottom of the dashboard screen, I was able to see my custom dashboard selected with WLCMS.

Also, I have the Simplified dashboard selected as hidden but the widget is still visible below my custom dashboard.

Automatic WordPress Updates stops from restoring backup version

Divi theme + Woocommerce plugin updates keep on messing my website designs up.
Everyday I have to create manual backups to restore the website the next day.

I disabled the automatic updates but sometimes WordPress still udpdates the plugins and themes.

Today for some reasons WordPress has automatically updated my woocommerce plugins but when I try to restore my backuo as usual, they restore the backuo but automatically updates the plugins. It makes my backups useless.

I need to solve this issue and get back to how my website was before updates. It cost me lots of money to create the designs and appearances I had so I really do not want to lose it.

What should I do to get back to my website design and avoid the WordPress automatic updates?

All Pages Table Links Permanently Showing

I noticed this happening on one of my sites a few weeks back but didn’t really give it much concern at the time. Now I’m working on the site and it’s bugging me, but also there must be some issue that ideally needs fixing.

When I access the All Pages (edit.php?post_type=page) in Admin all the option links for each page are permanently showing. These normally only appear when you hover a particular Page/Row in the table.

I have tried various things to fix but to no avail. Things tried:

Updated WordPress to latest version
Updated all plugins
Updated Theme to latest version
Installed the jQuery Migrate fix plugin
Disabled all plugins
Checked PHP version and configuration

Wondering if anyone has had the same or if anyone can point me in the right direction of further debugging?

WordPress update 5.5.3 to my site not recognized

I am having a very strange happening with the latest update to WordPress 5.5.3. I used the “update now” button and saw the screen that says the update was successful, but…
1. I still have the notification on my dashboard that the update is available
2. My WordFence notified me that 57 core WordPress files had been altered that are not compatible with my current version of WordPress 5.5.1 and it too is saying I need to upgrade to WordPress 5.5.3
3. My host dashboard is showing me I am still running WordPress 5.5.1 on my site

Note: My site was recently hacked and then cleaned by the folks at WordFence. Is it possible I still have some hacker residue that is causing this issue?

Thanks for any advice. I have not tried a manual install of WordPress update as this look beyond my meager capabilities

Hello I just updated my WordPress to 5.5 and I am getting some critical issues with the ms theme and plugin

Site not loading after WP update to 4.7.5

Yesterday my wordpress got updated to 4.7.5. After the update my website stopped showing content under various posts and the home page also stopped showing most of the content configured using widgets. I am using Flex Mag theme.

I raised a ticket with the theme developer but I have no response from them. Please guide.

I have tried deactivating the plugins to check if there is an issue with the plugins but that is not the case. My widget section has all the widgets configured still they are not loading.
