Delete of dropbox causes reinstall of wordpress on Bluehost

I had a wordpress website with updraft plus installed on it and connected to my dropbox account for backup. Recently I deleted the dropbox (remote) folder on my computer by accident. Then I returned it from the trash. When I went to the website it was backing up, the website had disappeared and it was replaced with a brand new wordpress install. I am using Bluehost and they say they have no idea what caused the spontaneous reinstall, and blame the website. I suppose it could be a hacker, but its VERY coincidental. I am thinking that there may be a problem with the updraft plus dropbox connection that triggered this somehow. I can’t logically see how this could happen, but then again strange things happen in the world of bits and bytes… For the updraft techs it might be worth checking for a bug at that level. Meanwhile I will just reinstall and use by updraft plus backup to save me from this crash…. Very odd though. Bluehost says they have no activity logs for my hosting account and so cannot tell how or why the reinstall happened. So I cannot tell if updraft caused it, Bluehost caused it or a hacker caused it…. all thoughts welcome.

Should I reinstall wordpress and risk losing everything?

I’m seeking advice, because recent my homepage has been causing so many issues since it’s not updating or changing I’m just not sure what to do. My homepage black admin bar isn’t showing up in the back end, my homepage slider doesn’t work anymore and my homepage stays cached on a specific date even when I try changing the reading > Settings. I’ve went through deactivating and activating the wp super plugin, to editing the htaccess file myself. I’m completely lost on to what I can do, it seems hopeless. On top of that it feels I’ll be losing everything I’ve worked on this past 6 months. I guess I have a few options.

1. Reinstall wordpress and upload a backup of mysite (Hoping that it will fix it but if I install a backup it might bring the problem along)

2. Look into redirecting my homepage just to change the url and pretty much by pass it.

3. Find some kind wordpress developer who’s willing to help fix my issue (because now I’m just simply confused)

What should I do from here?

HELP!! I changed my clients SQL password and now everything is down

My client is working for a media company and they wanted her SQL database, however I wasn’t the one who originally set up the database. So I changed the password to get into the database and as you know, once I did that I got the error code, cannot connect to database.

So after doing some serious research, I realized I had to redo the wp-config.php with the new information, however, that means that WP wants to reinstall.

I have backed up everything on my hard drive. I am so nervous to reinstall. She had a ton of stuff on her blog. So once I reinstall WP, can I add everything back?

Am I going about this the right way?

I want to reistall WordPress since I have had problems with first install. I spoke to GoDaddy and they tell it will take up to 24 hour each to do reinstall and load. I did speak to wo different people six hour apart. Is this the way it goes at WordPress? I have only two messages on this application. Should I go to another provider?

I tried to change php.functions. But after i changed it it didn’t work. then i copy and pasted the previous code. after saving it the site totally disppeared. when i asked support team, i am told that there is some error log

I cannot access my WP login page. They are telling me tp reinstall WP.

Here are few problems
1) I cannot install wordpress. I need step by step instructions
2) after installing new wordpress when i will try to restore the old theme and posts, is it possible to occur the same problem again?
if so, then how to solve the functions.php error?

I have saved the previous functions.php code in a notepad..is it somehow going to help?

can anybody help me out????
