Homepage without title

Since I don’t want the title of the homepage to be visible (both on page itself and/or in title, so the name won’t appear in the list saved pages in a browser, or is visible in the tab of opened sites)

If I use Yoast SEO there’s a slight problem, as you have to choose which diverder is shown between page/article name and website name. But if I choose to have a homepage without a name, and decided the – is shown as a divider I’ll get this:

– Website

(Website is name of website)

It’s really ugly, looks like Yoast is pushing me to enter a name for Home, so it looks like Home – Website.

Is there a way around this? All major websites give you just the name of the site when you are on the homepage. (check out CocaCola.com for example)

Maybe this ‘problem’ of not giving the homepage a name, so it won’t show up, is bigger than Yoast, maybe it’s a WP problem, but somehow I cannot find a decent solution.

Help in editing theme file – how do i have sperate page for homepage?

Hi,

Can anyone please with a template were-in i need to show multiple sections on homepage. Homepage should look different from the other pages.

How do i go about editing the theme index file? It starts with header, below that slide show, below that a large banner, then within few of the sections, i need to have widgets like music track list, music artist and youtube video plugin.

Hey guys i found this issue after installing a template to my wordpress test site. please take a look at the homepage its showing black, actually i created a full page of description and pics and put that as my homepage but those details are not showed on the homepage.

Moved WordPress Website to another Hosting

I did a full backup of my WordPress website from one hosting company and had another hosting company restore that to their system.

I need to change the Aweber code for the Optin on the page that is displayed when you type in my URL, https://www.dogfoodrecipessite.com

I find no way to see that source code so I can put the new Aweber webform code into that page.

How can I see that pages source code and make changes to it?

Adding an additional homepage breaks wordpress site

Hi all,

I am a web developer for a company and I have been handed out a project to develop a completely new and fresh 2.0 website. The company already had a website that was done with the help of wordpress previously by the old developer, who is not with the company anymore.
Before the launch of the new website, I was told to put a countdown page on the old wordpress website (which is installed on the root directory of the website).
Now my problem is that when I change the name of the old index.php (to home.php)file for wordpress and link to it through my new countdown page, wordpress completely breaks down.

Not having any experience with wordpress, is there any setting inside the admin panel that I could change?

Duplicate Static Homepage

I am using a static page and not the blog page as my homepage. Now the issue is, the “Home” page which is static page that I have set is appearing twice on the site both pointing to the same page. Any clue as to how I can suppress the duplicate one?
