Is there a good plugin to see which plugin is using the CPU resources on a website (which in turn takes up resources on the hosting server).
I have a client site who the hosting say keeps going to max 2MB I/O resources usage on hosting server. Not sure if it is my client but possibly or others on the server causing it.
So I would like to find a plugin to see what could be causing the issue (which plugin) or something.
If someone has found something that helps as my client site is lagging quite a bit, and I’ve updated WordPress, all plugins,
Something is using up resources or Causing it to use all resources. Then the website goes to 503 so I cannot work on it. Then I have to ring hosting to kill all the processes on that server.
I’m using Wordfence also but don’t think that is causing the issue. Must be something else.
]]>Client site is getting 503 errors quite frequently saying resource limitation when we try to access the backend adding or editing products etc mostly. Hosting upgraded PHP from 7 to 7.4 firstly and then I was still getting 503. Didn’t have them previously for the past 5 years with client site. Now it has started.
We have asked hosting to investigate the issue as it seems a server error or resource limit as it says in the message. But they have updated to PHP 8.2 but still the same issue.
I have ALSO duplicated the whole site (same plugins, themes etc everything) and put it on a TEST SERVER exact version and have No 503 errors on that other server when editing products etc.
Is the 503 error linked to admin-ajax.php being blocked ? I really don’t know what this file does.
One of the plugin support from Divi has mentioned “I would recommend that you contact your web hosting service provider regarding the 503 issue to check if WordPress admin-ajax.php is not being blocked. They should be able to provide more insights as to why the issue is occurring on your site and might fix it. They have not helped me at all to provide answer to this. They provided some screenshot referring to this so hosting could help.
So I thought someone else may have had a similar issue that could be causing it which could fix our issue or get to the bottom of it at least.
It’s been 2 weeks and I’m getting nowhere and we are all getting frustrated as to what is causing it.
As I’ve duplicated the site onto my TEST SERVER and NOT having the same issue, therefore it is NOT to do with the plugins or Theme either in my opinion otherwise it would be doing the same thing on the test server.
Therefore I got hosting to upgrade to PHP 8.2 same as the TEST SITE.
Still having the same issue on live site with 503 intermittently but seems to be MORE often on PHP 8.2
Someone mentioned maybe some settings in the PHP version is not quite right, but I don’t know what to check and I’ve asked hosting to check that but they don’t seem to want to. I’m going around in circles with them.
So I’m baffled and stuck and frustrated.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
]]>Client site today is having this error when we try to login to admin backend area.
We cannot get into the backend at all wp-admin and can go into wp-login via recovery mode only.
Order allow,deny Deny from all Order allow,deny Allow from all RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] Order allow,deny Deny from all Order allow,deny Allow from all RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
And this error shows on every page below
Order allow,deny Deny from all Order allow,deny Allow from all RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
We have replaced the htaccess file but can now ONLY get into recovery mode. I cannot update any plugins or add new plugin. I can now still see the whole website backend (I have put it under maintenance with a plugin).
When I logout of recovery mode, it says critical error and says the error above.
I now can’t seem to do anything in the backend with this issue and every page shows the error on every product page and general page.
I have had to put it in Maintenance mode for now.
Seems to be a few htaccess files in different directories also, I’m going through and deleting them as they are NOT supposed to be there.
How can I rectify this?
Any thoughts ? If I can’t fix it urgently was thinking to get hosting to restore a backup.
Thanks
]]>Currently, I have only placed one menu on the website (the primary menu) to prevent visitors from getting confused. This is a temporary measure to mitigate the issue until a proper solution is found.
]]>This page isn’t working
app.get-gigs.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
So we tried several approaches to tackle the problem, but it remained the same. We tried fixing it with .htaccess, wp-config files, deactivating all plugins, changing themes, and so on, but we still receive this 500 error anytime we click any update button.
Is there a way to remedy this problem?
Thank you!!
]]>I have a very strange issue (never come across) for my client site who went live approx 1 mth ago
When I go onto the Contact Page or SHOP Pages or Product Pages on PC, Mobile & IPad all looks fine and the URL looks fine and normal.
When I go on Ipad & Phone and click on the 3 buttons on browser and click on “SHARE” and want to SHARE the website URL link it shows a WRONG link (not the website, but the original staging URL link from hosting) which is incorrect.
I have contacted the Hosting people and they say it is NOT there end, but in the WordPress/Woocommerce somewhere …
I have never seen this issue before and have NO idea HOW to fix it .
It is happening on anyone who tries to share the site on mobile or Ipad device.
Have you come across this in WordPress Woocommerce and HOW do I fix it ?
The permalinks are showing correctly , URL is correct … but when SHARING it is INCORRECT …
Thanks in advance

Kristin
This problem is out of my mind, anyone if has any solution, they are welcome.
]]>Why would this be a thing? I cleared my cache on mobile, rechecked to insure I was hitting publish, not save draft, etc.
Is there anything I can do to make it work?
]]>Don’t have access to WP cli to check because I’m on a shared server.
Had a similar problem with WP Updraft as well. Wouldn’t run a backup because of what was apparently a semaphore lock. Yes, i waited 5 mins and tried again. No luck.
Also (since these things tend to come in 3’s). Really simple SSL isn’t working properly. I can’t enable SSL. I try to do it. I get “SSL is enabled on your site”, then i go to the plugins page and I get the “Almost ready to migrate to SSL!” message on the top of the page.
I got an external wordpress developer to create this site. Generally I’m happy but I’m wondering whether any of these errors can be put down to his work. Also, I transferred the site from the staging area via gitlab/FTP. Maybe that caused a problem ?
Also, now that I come to think of it. I couldn’t install Google Site Key plugin either because it said there was a caching issue.
Thanks,
PS: Running WP 5.3.2
