I have a problem with WordPress. On the three sites where I have installed it, the plugin and theme search system stopped working today, displaying an error message: “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration.”

Additionally, I wasn’t receiving the notification to update to the latest version of WordPress, even though it needed updating.

Two of the three sites are almost empty, with only the WordPress installation. I tried uninstalling the default plugins, reinstalling WordPress, and updating it, but nothing changed. I contacted my hosting provider for support, but there don’t seem to be any issues on their end. Can anyone help?

Conflict causing posts page in admin back end to display narrow columns

I am using the latest version of WordPress (6.4.3) but experiencing a conflict issue.

When the plugin is activated, it causes the the posts page in the admin back end to display all the posts names in narrower columns so that the names that used to be on one line, is now displayed over say 3 lines. There are other plugins that also do this, and when each are activated, it causes a cumulative effect.

For example, if I have another plugin that causes this effect, when this plugin (the WP Last Modified Info plugin) is activated too, the columns become even more narrow so that the titles goes from originally being displayed as one line to over 3 lines to over 5 lines (or more) with a few words per line, eventually even 1 letter per line the more such plugins I activate or not.

Can you assist with this?

Unable to install new plugins – “An unexpected error occurred”

When I try to search for new plugins, if I include a space in my search term, I get this error:

“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the?support forums.”

If I search for a single word without a space, I can find plugins as normal but when I try to install it, I get this error:

“Installation failed: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the?support forums.”

I have the latest version of WordPress (6.4.3) and I manually upgraded to PHP 8.2, because one of the plugins I was using required 8.1 or higher.

The most recent thing I did in the past 24 hours was delete a plugin that refused to delete from inside the WordPress backend, from my hosting control panel from the wp-content –> plugins folder, and deleted another plugin that I didn’t even know I had (it was in a folder called mu-plugin in my hosting control panel).

I can activate plugins that are already installed but I cannot search for or install new ones.

How to fix error in PHP 8

This plugin is really awesome. Even though it’s never been updated, I still use this plugin on my website. But unfortunately I found an error in PHP 8.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function create_function() in mydomain/wp-content/plugins/clean-archives-reloaded/clean-archives-reloaded.php.

Function create_function has been removed in PHP 8. I have tried to update, but it still fails. Whether of all of you, anyone managed to do a fix for it?

Endless WordPress Site Problems

I am reaching out to this awesome WordPress community in the hopes that someone could guide me in what seems to be an endless road of problems.
I have now had to re-install and rebuild my entire site due to errors and problems. On the latest version, I again a, having many many problems. As I am a complete novice to WordPress, none of the very complicated responses on similar topics have helped.
I;ve reduced my site to the bare minimum plugins, reduced images to the bare-bones and installed every manner of compression plugin and also changed to a Cloudflare account. With all of this, my page still loads extremely slowly with multiple errors. Even my dashboard page loads extremely slowly. I have not got a clue as to where to start with or how to resolve the issues.

Unable to upload file above 100kb on all 4 WordPress websites

Each time I try to upload a file like an image or pdf or any file above 60kb I get an error of Unexpected response from the server, or Post-processing of the image failed likely because the server is busy or does not have enough resources.

I did contact my hosting providers as updated my Update limit to

safe mode = Off (cannot adjust)
memory_limit = 256 M (MAXIMUM)
max_execution_time = 30 (MAXIMUM in seconds)
max_input_time = 60 (MAXIMUM in seconds)
post_max_size = 32M (MAXIMUM)
upload_max_filesize = 32M (MAXIMUM)
enable_dl = Off (cannot adjust)

But still am facing the same issues. Please help

Broken Dashboard

Hi,

I am currently trying to fix the WordPress dashboard.
Yesterday we realised that the dashboard was completely broken, was not able to to access any pages, plugins, etc.

So we were able to find a way to reinstall wordpress, however we seem to be getting this error:

I am getting the white screen of death. WordPress has not sent me the email mentioned in their messaging but here is what I get after activating debugging mode:

I went in to the files through ftp and see that it is a duplicate function command but I don’t know how to fix it. I am not a programmer but I have figured out my way around WordPress and the ftp files. Any help is appreciated.
