I am using Woocommerce for our site’s shopping cart. I am trying to get a particular page to display the content/products in full width on:
https://purespoon.com/shop/
All pages by default had the left content then a right sidebar on every page. So in order to replace it what I have been doing is going into the web files, and cloning the existing template file and removing the side bar from the code. Then I’d rename that file and set it as the ‘Full Width Template’ in the page attributes. This has worked for every page except this shop page. I desperately need some help so any feedback is appreciated!
Full Width Shop Page Code example:
————————————————————————-
<?php
/**
* Template Name: Shop Full Width
* Description: A Page Template for Shop Full Width
*
* @package WordPress
* @subpackage Twenty_Eleven
* @since Twenty Eleven 1.0
*/
get_header(); ?>

<!–
–>
<?php /* The loop */ ?>
<?php while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>
<article id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>” <?php post_class(); ?>>

Shop

<!– .entry-header –>

<?php the_content(); ?>
<?php wp_link_pages( array( ‘before’ => ‘
’ . __( ‘Pages:’, ‘twentythirteen’ ) . ‘’, ‘after’ => ‘
’, ‘link_before’ => ‘’, ‘link_after’ => ‘’ ) ); ?>

<!– .entry-content –>

<?php edit_post_link( __( ‘Edit’, ‘twentythirteen’ ), ‘’, ‘’ ); ?>

<!– .entry-meta –>

<!– #post –>
<?php comments_template(); ?>
<?php endwhile; ?>

<!–.end left-area –>

<!– end .container –>
<!–
–>
<!– #content –>

<!– #primary –>
<?php get_footer(); ?>

I installed 3.5.1 on a new domain a few days back, while installing I found that I am unable to edit my posts or pages, as I am getting a blank screen at the editor section.
I tried changing the theme too, but it did not worked, I don’t have any adblock also installed on my browsers, I tried using different browsers also.
I am unable to post new things also, as I am getting a complete blank section in the editor section.
Please help me to rectify the problem.
I have edited my themes before on wordpress (years back), and I could literally log in to my WP admin area, go to the CSS style sheet and edit whatever I needed to, update and voila it would be fine.
Now, I cannot do this. And now I am seeing a bunch of people talking about program files and cpanel (which I have, but have no idea what to do with it).
I have this theme and I do not like the colors. I need certain colors so I can brand the theme with the main website – how do I do this? Why is this so hard? FYI I am not a designer by any means. But, if someone could help me, please do. Need to know more? Ask, I am more than willing to answer considering these was supposed to be done two days ago. I have downloaded dreamweaver, I tried this WYSIWYG editor online (which would have been fine), but the gradient isn’t working correctly. I’m ready to scream.
