New Install Login Problem

Installed WP on an add-on domain and went through the process on hostgator cpanel. I attempted several times to login into the site with no success. I checked and compared all my primary domain, sub-domains and add-on domains through Filezilla. It appears to me that the htaccess file is missing from the add-on domain. All other files seem to match. I may be making an incorrect assumption and while there may be other files that are missing, I am assuming that the missing htaccess file is the culprit. If this is the case, then what do I need to do to correct the problem. If that is not the problem or the entire problem, then what else would I need to do.

updraftplus don't work fine

Hi,
I’m trying to install updraftplus but when the installation is complete plugin.php page is not reachable and I only see a white square.

I do not know why and I’m very interested to use the plugin updraftplus for automatic backups of your website.

How can I fix?

I’d like to thanks you for this nice plugin

I am writing because I met some flaws when using latest iThemes Security and WPML. I made little examination and it happens using WordPress 3.8.3, WordPress 3.9 and WPML 3.1.4 and 3.1.5b2.
The flaw concerns redirection of hide backend url, which is redirected by WPML to frontend browser language version of homepage.

I made a ticket on WPML forum as well, describing the problem.

503 error when trying to update WordPress 3.8.3

I have tried to update my WordPress site multiple times over the last few days and each time I get a 503 error after entering my SSH2 password. I have successfully updated plugins, but always get an error when trying to update WordPress.

Updating manually seems way to intimidating for my skill level. Is there something else I can try?

CANNOT UPDATE 3.8.3.

I’ve tried to update my WPress, but no go. Below is the error msg I get. I went into host with filezilla & tried changing permissions, but also no go.
