Hello,
I have many WordPress websites. I am the project manager in charge of keeping them updated but I am not a developer/coder. I do know basics. I usually update the version of WordPress when I see the reminder in the dashboard. I know the current version is 4.1. This website is on WP 3.6.1 yet I get the messge “You have the latest version of WordPress.” when I click updates.

Is there an obvious, easy fix other than a manual install? I will do the install but wanted to see if there was something simple I’m missing.

Site very slow when WP Display Header plugin is active

Hello,

There’s a 10-15 seconds gap before I can get onto my website. When I do disable WP Display Header, no lag, i’m on my site under a second.

Running the latest product 2.1.0 for the plugin and WP 3.6.1 like its the newest possible 100% compatible to this plugin.

Do you have any Idea what is wrong in the plugin?

On apache 2.4.4 / Php 5.3.18 with basic loaded extension / mysql 5.5

On the same server I run about 60 other web site and 15 under WordPress and nothing wrong, all site are real fast and this one, only have trouble when the plugin is on.

Menu disembeds in each page and post on website/mobile..etc.

I’m a fan of fantastic vantage theme, but i have a problem.

I see now in my website when scroll down of each page the menu disembeds and put it above the content according you scroll down.

I thought it was to be a “multiplatform” that adapted to the screen, but is not.

It can be?

I am building a website using PageBuilder

The customer wants images that have both a caption and are clickable i.e.they have a destination URL

If I use a PB Gallery I can have a caption but no URL destination.
If I use a PB Image I can have a URL destination but no caption.

Feels a bit like a Catch22.

Any workarounds? Am I missing something obvious?

Hello, I have made my first WP template from scratch (it is not a child theme) and I am getting these problems (I have already Googled intensively but found nothing)

First of all, the structure of my template is this:

CSS folder: contains reset.css and font files
IMG folder: contains layout images
JS folder: contains 3 javascript files
my php files: footer, functions, header, index, sidebar and single
the style.css and the screenshot.png

1. I always edit the files in my computer and then I upload them via FTP, but when I go to my Dashboard > Appearance > Editor, if I click on the stylesheet, the sidebar.php, the header.php or the functions.php, it shows a blank textarea. The other php files are loaded correctly. They are all in the same directory and have the same permissions.

2. I also seem to have a problem with the styles.

To check whether the styles work or not, I have made a test directory inside my theme called “goodone” and I have uploaded there my theme without the php files. Then, I clicked “View source” in my browser and copied the html to a file called “kk.html“, and I uploaded it to this directory. It looks perfect (except for little details):

If you compare it with itself when uploaded to the main theme folder (where my index.php is):

the design looks broken again, so since it is the same file but in different locations (with access to the same styles) I guess WordPress is doing something to the files under my theme main folder, but I really can’t figure out what it is exactly:

Quick Edit bug after upgrade to version 3.6.1

Hello,

We have Multi-site installation of WordPress on SQL Server running on IIS7. And we are IE users.

Problem:
After upgrading WordPress to version 3.6.1 in our test environment, we are unable to use the Quick Edit function from Dash Board>All Posts. After clicking this button, it opens the fields to edit normally. However, after making changes (eg, change author) and clicking Update, the title gets wiped out and it just says (no title). The author also gets reassigned to the first user in the drop down list (not the one chosen). We are still running WordPress 3.5.1 in our production environment and it works fine there. This bug has been a major hold up for us from upgrading production.

Anyone know what to do to fix this bub please. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Posts going to Scheduled status instead of Published

I really like your plugin version 1.0.4, it’s easy to use and unlike WPeMatico and some others I’ve tried, it works. The issue I’m having is after the first run of it, of the 35 posts that were pulled, 13 went to Published and the remaining 22 of those went to Scheduled instead of Published. I can’t bulk Edit the remaining to Published either, I tried. You have to use Quick Edit and change the time to something in the past and modify from Scheduled to Published for each individual post. What can I do to prevent this from happening? The time it puts on the Schedule also seems to be in UTC cause it’s so far in the future, the one at the top of my Post list shows “Date 10-Oct, 14, 2013@20:10” regarding when it is Scheduled for. I have New York set as my TimeZone under Settings\General. “UTC time is 2013-10-14 19:33:48 Local time is 2013-10-14 15:33:48” is what’s showing now. What’s going to happen is the posts will just pile up and I’ll have more Scheduled that Published. I have tried to use “WP Missed Schedule – RC2013” plugin but it didn’t do anything. Can you please assist?

Are not able to update Jetpack with new WordPress version.

Since I updated my wordpress to 3.6.1, a multitude of things have stopped working on my blog.

First publicize wasn’t connecting to Facebook. So I deleted Jetpack to try and reinstall it and it won’t let me.

My thumbnails don’t show up when I try and link things to FB and I can no longer pin my images to Pinterest. My blog also is not longer showing up on bloglovin.

I have deleted all my plugins to see what the problem is. I have been able to reinstall all of them except Jetpack
