Slow queries ( SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS) crashing site

We are on WordPress 3.5.2 and have been experiencing constant site crashes. Our hosting service has informed us that our CPU maxes out entirely because of this one query: SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS

So far, the only fix for us has been to increase the CPUs to a huge and unnecessary volume. Our site is large (around 18,000 directory listings and 8,500 posts) with consistent traffic, but hardly the largest thing on WP!

And have also read up on instances where deleting revisions has helped people experiencing similar problems.

Is there a patch that will work for WordPress 3.5.2? Or has anyone had an experience similar to this and has found deleting revisions has been successful worked?

switchEditors is not defined in TinyMCE

Hi,
I have a very popular problem.

I have no working TinyMCE editor in my WP 3.5.2 I have no working tabs and unloaded bar in editor. When I’am writing something nothing appear. I can see entered text onlu using Ctrl+A.
Before this troubles I had absolutely don’t working jQuery in my admin panel. I resolved it adding in config.php this lines

 define('ABSPATH', dirname(__FILE__) . '/');

I have read many faqs and forum question before ask here, but I hade no result. I tried to reinstall WP. Downgrade to 3.5, 3.5.1
I would like to upgrade up, but I can’t cause I have multilanguage site and many translations aren’t ready to versions highter than 3.5.2

Error shown when accessing wp site on add-on domain

I have main domain https://www.shreelekhan.com

On this domain I have added one “Add-on” domain from control panel. URL of add-on domain is : https://www.bdfrill.com.

WordPress version 3.5.2 is installed on it.
Theme I am using is ‘Responsive’ and I am working on ‘Responsive Child’ theme.

After installing, site was working fine.

Then I made changes in Settings > General > WordPress Address(URL) and Site Address(URL) by adding “www.”.

After hitting “Save” button, I am seeing “Oops! Google Chrome could not find www.bdfrill.com” message in browser

I am not able to access my site.

Kindly guide me further and oblige.

Update to 3.5.2 in localhost disables post editing

I tried 4 installs of 3.5.2 on localhost (various permutations) with the same results each time: I cannot write in the post window, use the text tab or the “Add Media” button.

Finally I installed 3.5.1 (worked great) and then updated to 3.5.2 in the dashboard. Again post editing, the text tab and the “Add Media” button were all disabled. No plugins were installed.

I’m running XAMPP version 1.7.4 (on Windows 7)
Apache 2.2.17
MySQL 5.5.8 (Community Server)
PHP 5.3.5 (VC6 X86 32bit) + PEAR

A little old but should be at the right rev levels for 3.5.2.

My son (also on Windows 7) installed 3.5.2 using XAMPP 1.8.2. WordPress 3.5.2 works properly with that version (contains Apache 2.4.4, MySQL 5.5.32, PHP 5.4.16.)

Media Library and Image Upload Issues after upgrade to 3.5.2

Hello –

After not touching my WordPress site for more than 3 weeks, I returned to work this week and updated to 3.5.2. Since then I’ve encountered multiple issues:

1) After attempting login at /wp-login.php, I get the notice that “The connection was reset” and to “try again later.” Thinking this was a server issue, I contacted my host provider (GoDaddy), and they told me to give it 24 hours as the server was just “really busy.” They also told me it could be happening because my site is slow. However, I had not been experiencing a slow site previously, and no content has been added since accessing it regularly early last month. It has also been more than 48 hours since it started.

2) I’ve tried re-installing the upgrade, replacing upgrade.php (from File Manager in GoDaddy since I can’t access through FTP now, either), disabling plugins, emptying my cache, restarting the browser (Firefox), etc. yet I keep getting the screen at various points when I’m clicking around on the admin side. (This is not browser-specific. Same thing happens with multiple browsers.)

3) If I’m lucky enough to log in without getting the “reset connection” screen right away, I then can’t upload new images to posts, pages, or portfolio items. It starts the upload, then says “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.” However, if I navigate to the Media Library afterwards, I’ll see the image I just tried to upload 3 times. (In other words, first it tells me it fails, then I see 3 copies of it in the library.) In addition to that, if I try to upload an image from the Media Library, it shows up as empty so there’s nothing for me to choose. I can neither upload from my computer nor the Media Library now.

I’m a designer, but I’ve been working with WordPress for quite a while and never encountered this issue. Any suggestions are appreciated! I have no idea what the source is, so I don’t know where to ask for help.

installed new version of WP now can't access pages

I just backed up my client’s site and installed the latest version of WordPress 3.5.2. Now I can’t access the site’s pages. When I click the ‘pages’ tab it goes to a blank white screen and this is in the URL address bar: https://bestinfinity.com/WordPress/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page

Any ideas what’s going on? I checked through the site and everything seems to be working.
