]]>In the Earthlink Web-hosting control room it looks like the database is ther, but their help said “you are using custom WordPress installation that we unfortunately do not support” Aargh. On my own.
Finally got to view a wordpress page on my blog just now and then the WordPress login window and when I tried logging in I got this message:
“WordPress
Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at sql5c38a.carrierzone.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums”
Anybody have suggestions for how I can get my WordPress blog to be accessible again in layman’s language?
]]>But, I have a client who can’t at the moment, or for the foreseeable future, upgrade their WordPress. And their site has 600 some odd broken links. I tried to use the earliest version of this plugin to see if that works, 0.1. But it’s not working.
I can assume it’s not working because the readme file says that it requires at least: 2.0.2 and they’re running 2.0
Anybody have any suggestions on either how to get this plugin to work for 2.0 or how to check and fix 600 broken links?

Again I need to emphasize that it is not only this plug-in: none of them work save for Akismet. Is it because of my early version of WordPress?
*The reason I am using this version is because I am using a free hosting site called justfree.com. I am satisfied with it but its automatic install of WordPress seems to only be version 2.0.5.
Thank you very much for any advice and guidance!

The guys who gave me the hosting have some applications for their customers… and WordPress 2.0 was one of them. I installed it and asked me for a Database… which was configured automatic, but when I logged in, it said: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
This is my first time with a domain and I dont know how to use the plugins or anything that could help me to solve the problem.
Do anyone have some idea to solve it?
Thanks all
]]>I’ve upgraded from 1.5.2 to 2.0. Almost everything went fine, I just have some problems with “finding” posts:
When I’m writing a new post, the preview below the editor says that it can’t find the given post (the “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” – error-message) …
A related problem (I think…): I’m also using Ultimate Tag Warrior (latest version). Everything works, but I can’t use tags to navigate my blog, I also get this “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” – error. Categories work fine, btw.
I tried different permalink-options, I’ve also let WP build my .htaccess-file new from scratch, but no success yet.
I’d be very happy if somebody could help. Thanks.
Site address is www.japhy.at, btw (although I don’t think it matters in this case…)
