Your site is currently linked to Wordfence Central under a different site URL.?
I’m guessing this is due to having a staging version of the site. The Wordfence help recommends
click the “Clear Local Connection Data” button on the cloned site
but I don’t see that button anywhere in the Wordfence admin area of the staging site. Also, the staging site however is not accessible to the outside world.
The staging site isn’t on Wordfence Central. Both sites (the live and staging versions) are both installed at different subdomains on the same domain.
Suggestions?
]]>I had this sight connected to WordFence Central and one day it, along with one other website showed up in my “Connection Issues” list. I tried to re-connect both sites. Neither site would re-connect. I then disconnected both sites.
I then tried to “Add Website” to Wordfence Central. The other site was eventually added back into central. However this website neither offers the “Connect Wordfence Central” link from the dashboard, not can I add the site to Wordfence Central using the “Add New Site” button in Wordfence Central.
I deactivated and deleted the Wordfence plugin from the website and then re-installed and activated the plugin. I then installed the license that I was originally issued and had used for this website. Still cannot connect this website to Wordfence Central
Not sure what to do at this point to get this website connected to Wordfence Central. Please assist or advise as to what to do!
Sincerely,
Larry A. Coates
]]>I tried to connect the site from both sides, Wordfence Central Dashboard and the site’s Wordfence Dashboard and none of them works.
How can I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance. Regards
I have connected some of my websites with WordFence central. But, in every 3-4 days, I am getting connection issues. Status shown is connection timeout. Everytime I have to hit “Retry site connection” button. Screnshot below..
Please guide, why this is happening.

]]>I am doing some “house cleaning” and noticed a few sites listed on Wordfence Central that I am no longer managing/hosting. How do I remove them from the list of sites? They have expired licenses and the only option seems to renew the licenses which is NOT what I want to do.
]]>Even though the the website is actually located at https://staging.mydomain.com.
I think there COULD be several solutions to this, sorted from best to worst:
1. Can I programmatically disable Wordfence Central? I don’t need it on staging. But I do like to keep the Wordfence plugin for added security.
Is there a hook or a filter I can call?
add_action( 'init', function(){
if( $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] == 'staging.mydomain.com' ){// code to deactivate Wordfence Central here
}
}, 99 );
2. How do I force the Wordfence Central URL to change?
3. Last resort would be to add Wordfence to above code using:deactivate_plugins('wordfence/wordfence.php');
None of the above worked. Any further ideas appreciated. I have Wordfence on a number of other sites with no issues

Nothing is working, no resets, its not temporary its permanent, any ideas?
