WooDojo – To uninstall or not to uninstall?

My WordPress site has been running super slowly for the past few days, both from a user point of view and from an administrative point of view. A Bluehost technical support guy investigated the problem last night and told me that I was running too many plugins. He said that most sites run 10 – 15 plugins and I had around 30. I’ve been on a mission for the past day to deactivate and/or delete plugins to hopefully speed things up a bit.

I’ve had the WooDojo plugin installed for awhile but I’ve never really done much with it. I now see that WooDojo has been retired per the WooCommerce website. I just looked at my WooDojo settings and I’ve only been using 1 of the 8 bundled features – Widget Preview. I just deactivated that widget so now nothing is active.

Here’s the problem …

Because I’m not sure how intermingled Woo products are, I have no idea whether or not to uninstall WooDojo. I currently use the Wootique theme and I’ve installed WooCommerce functionality as well. Can anyone here speak to the “to uninstall or not to uninstall” question? I’d appreciate your help!

Apologies if this isn’t the right place to post this, I have latest versions of WP and Woocommerce and Wootique as the child theme installed.

Since I installed Wootique the product search within the header has stopped working, I get the dreaded “The requested URL /****** was not found on this server.”

I installed the search widget in the footer to test and its working perfectly from there.. The header search was also working prior to installing Wootique… I installed several plugins but none of which worked except 1. I don’t want to have to pay a monthly premium for the privilege which is why I’m posting here.

All I need is a simple search to return products.

I searched everywhere for answers to no avail can anyone help ..please

Hi Tom,

I’ve been scouring the menu plugins for one I like and I believe yours is the one for me, I’ll be buying the pro version if I can get this working.

After adding MMM to replace the built-in menu for Wootique (Old Woo Theme) the main menu appears correctly but the sub-menus display behind everything that is not in the header. Adjusting Z-Index in your options has no effect. I’m 100% sure it’s an issue on my end, any help would be greatly appreciated!

The domain is live and customers are using it so I can’t enable MMM for you to test, I have a gut feeling you wont need it enabled to figure this one out though.

No selection of variations with Wootique theme

Recently I’ve updated my webshop to wp 4.5 and subsequently all other plug-ins so I’m fully updated. Now suddenly all my variations do not work any more.

Issue:
– Dropdown lists are populated
– But when you select a value the value “Choose an option” remains
– But, I you select a variant and the “add to chart” the correct item is added to the chart.
– This means the actual selection goes correct, but is not displayed

Which plug-ins/Themes
– WooCommerce
– Wootique theme
– Disabling all other plug-ins does not help to solve the issue.

What did I do alreay
– Re-populated all variants
– Installed previous version of jQuery
– Use different theme –> good result!

When using a different team (e.g. StoreFront) population and selection goes fine. So my conclusion is that something is wrong in the Wootique theme.
I really would like to stick to this theme. Any help for a resolution is highly appreciated

sidebar doesn't show up

Hi all,

I have a woocommerce template installed called ‘wootique’. I wanted to adjust my custon sidebar but it doesn’t update. I made a new sidebar and added widgets to it. Than I went to my specific store page and made the new sidebar the primary one. Saved it and refreshed a few times but didn’t work.

I tried to resolve this on my own but don’t have a single clue what went wrong.

Wootique theme not showing related products on some pages

Is there anyway to force 3 related products to show on a product page some pages show no related products with just the title related products whilst others will show 1 related products, and rarely the theme will show 3 related products whats going on?

Images only appear after hovering. HELP!!

I am using the Wootique theme and have been for years. First off, here is my site for you to see what I am talking about. www.cincycardsandsupplies.com

When you are on the main page, some images may show up. When you hover over them, they magically appear. It does this same thing in the shop as well. On mobile, when pics dont appear and you turn your phone to landscape, they show as well. Does anyone have any clue as to what may be causing this? I have been spinning my wheels for a while now. PLEASE HELP! Thank you
