It was about a month that I was looking for a Gift Card plugin for my woocommerce store. Tried several but all of them were full of bugs, not often updated and very heavy for the system.

Woocommerce gift cards plugin causing conflict

Hi all – left this is a general woocommerce forum as well but may be better to post here.

We have had this plugin working fine for over a year now. all of a sudden, when we go to place a manual order on the backend “woocommerce > orders > add new” – it wasn’t let us choose a customer from the drop down menu, wouldn’t let us create one, and wouldn’t allow us to add products. (I dont know about the front end)

But after turning off numerous plugins it appears that this plugin is causing the issue. with it turned off it appears our ordering is fine. Is there a way to fix this issue in the plugin itself or does woocommerce have to have an update to fix it?

hi there. Our ability to create a manual order in woocommerce on the back end disappeared today, and after deactivating numerous plugins – it turns out the culprit is the “woocommerce – gift card” plugin.

how do we contact woocommerce about fixing this plugin. It worked fine before – issue just started today.

A Scam to Get You to Buy Paid Version

You will quickly find out when you set this up that people don’t actually receive the gift cards. They can buy a gift card, the transaction will process, but then they never get the email with the gift card code. Why? Because of course you have to buy the premium version of the plugin for the email to actually get delivered. So basically, the free version is just a scam to piss off your customers and force you to buy the paid version. Lovely.

Entering Card Code Doesn't Update Total On Checkout Page

Problem: After entering a card code on the checkout page, an alert is shown that shows the card has been applied. However, the cart total is not updated as it still shows the total price before the card code was entered. Refreshing the checkout page then shows the card total had been applied. Unfortunately, the average user will not try to refresh the page making this non-functional.

Question: How can I update the pricing table after the card code is entered? Alternatively, is an update planned that will correct this problem?
