How can I GET RID of EMBEDLY, please! I can’t even use any other plugin, now, this thing is a monster and has destroyed my mother’s gardening magazine site.

The other problem is that we realized that the two plugins we deactivated and deleted had nothing to do with this plugin. We don’t know what plugin this actually is and there’s nothing that matches it in our installed plugins. I know we added it last year sometime but cannot remember the name. And now that we want to remove it, the plugin is not showing up in installed plugins but the info for it is still showing up on the website. So at some point the plugin disappeared, but kept the info. It’s possible we lost it as we just migrated the site last week.
However, we don’t understand why it’s still showing up on the website. We’d like to delete it, but are not sure what to do.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

]]>The default category is set to be assigned for each post, ‘uncategorized’ category.
If I try to re-assign (check) a category for a post, then update it, immediately after the update, I’m unable to reassign or remove it from the post using an ‘update’. Immediately after the update, it shows that it has reverted to the checked ‘uncategorized’ category, and not other changes to categories have been applied.
Any ideas?

I’m having a couple of problems that I hope you can help me solve. I recently moved my site from a subdomain back to a domain. It was in the same hosting acct (read: directory) and I followed these instructions. All seemed to be working fine until I started adding posts and assigning categories to them. Also, I began having problems where I could not modify the ‘menu’ by deleting items in it’s listing. So, in a few words:
1). Categories assigned to a post cannot be changed (unchecked)
2). Menu items cannot be removed (deleted) from the menu.
While I do have some child categories, the default category is set to be assigned for each post. I’m unable to reassign or remove it from the post using an ‘update’. Immediately after the update, it shows that it has reverted to the checked ‘uncategorized’ category.
If I try to assign (check) a child category to it, then update it, immediately after the update, the child category heirarchy has been changed, moved near the top of the category list as a ‘parent’ equivalent category and removed itself as a child from the original parent category.
Similarly, when I try to change menu items, I’m unable to delete them. For example: I open the item, choose remove, the item then disappears from the listing, then I select ‘save menu’, the menu listing refreshes, and the item reappears in the listing.
I’ve also tried to remove the main menu and create another menu (although not in that order) I created a new menu, and was not able to delete the old menu. Nor am I able to delete an item from the new menu. What gives?
So far, I’ve disabled all plug-ins, yet the problems persists. These problems did seem to appear once I’d upgraded to 3.01. Yet, I’m not sure they weren’t already there or what has caused them. Perhaps you’ve run into this before?
Thanks,
Klatuu
