I have checked in the widget area on the dashboard and the widget area in the theme under customize and there are no other widgets in that spot. They are both identical.
I am not a coder. How can I get rid of this space?
]]>Thanks so much for all the help so far, I have been needing a LOT of it – but I am determined to figure this thing out I am building my site locally, so unfortunately I don’t have a link I can provide. If there is anything else I can put up here that will help please let me know.
Right now I am trying to edit my widget space. I wan’t the widgets to go right to the edge of the page like my featured image. There is also a large gap between to two widgets – I have them both in Footer Area 1. I may run into a problem with this as I don’t need all my widgets to be full size, just my instagram widget! I have attached a picture to show what I mean.
I want to remove the blank white space on either side, and move the widget up closer to the one above it.

]]>It seems to me that:
1) vertical space between widgets in the sidebars is too much. How can I reduce it in the css child theme?
2) font size in the widgets text is too big. How can I make them smaller in the css child theme?
Thanks for any suggestions!!!
]]>Thank for creating such a beautiful Theme.
I have 2 questions
1.
I use the SG-double theme and want to get rid of the space before the left widget and after the right widget. I searched all the CSS files, but cannot find it. When I debug, I see the max. space for the inner part is 1366. If I change it to 1500, then the spaces disappear, so it should be possible. Can you tell me how to do this.
2.
I want to make some more changes and I should be using a child theme, but I am already using the child theme SG-double and I read that is is not possible to make a child theme of another child theme. How should I solve this.
Best regards,
Kees Bond

I have installed Custom CSS to facilitate adding code but I cannot find the right code to solve this problem.

How can I fix this?
Thank you!

]]>While I don’t want it to be exactly identical, I do want a similar space immediately below the div.header-top.bg.header and above the div.header-bottom.header-filter, of my site (symposiarch), in order to be able to implement widgets. I want this space about 150px in height and spanning across the same distance as the header-top and header-bottom.
The widget space on ‘naruto.gamehop’s’ theme is using an image slider, hot topics this week, and a top posters widget. I simply want one image slider that extends across the widget space. So, in other words, I want a single widget space in contrast to the three widget spaces in ‘naruto.gamehop’s’ site. Please note that I do not yet have in mind an image slider widget to use within the space, I simply want a functional widget space in which I can drag and drop widgets into – I’ll find a suitable widget for my site at a later point in time.
Since my website is operating on a pre-made theme I am not entirely sure how to code it to my liking (whilst incorporating it into the themes code) in addition to customizing the widget space. The few tutorials I have attempted to follow online with detailed instructions have resulted in failure. I should mention that I am a complete novice at this. I do, however, know my way around wordpress, know how to identify simple coding and, further, know how to operate a coding program such as CODA 2, photoshop, cpanel, etc.
More things I should mention, I want this image slider (widget space) to only appear on the front-page. When navigating the forum/blog I do not want it present. This image slider will feature blog posts of my website.
If there is someone who will take me up on helping me create this widget space I will, obviously provide the necessary additional details to you as they are needed. But again, I’m a noob so you will have to provide me with some serious guidance. I don’t imagine this task is all that involved, but given my experience it is quite the challenge for me.
Looking forward to hearing from you! And thanks in advance.
P.S. Gift card will be emailed to you. The email from amazon will contain a code that you punch into your amazon account in order to redeem the gift certificate.

All I want to do is reduce the size of the gaps between my widgets(top and bottom.)
Thanks for any help!
