Sidebar at the bottom after changing layout

Hey! I need some help with my sidebar/widecolumn. I have changed my layout, widen the content and so on.. but somehow my sidebar is at the bottom, and I can’t move it up. I have tried to change the width but nothing.. any help? It would be appreciated

I’m working on a site based on the default theme. I’ve modified the theme to a three column layout, navigation in narrow left column, content in wider center and misc. widgets in right column.

I copied my index file and renamed it links.php and then put the correct code into the links.php to display bookmarks. I then created a page called On The Web, told WP to use my links template file. Now when I look at my On The Web page, it renders the links correctly but it’s inserting the class widecolumn into the source code. Which is of course breaking my CSS. The only place I can find the widecolumn class is in files I’m not even using. Why is it inserting the widecolumn class?

CSS issue with sidebar in page template

I’ve only tried this in Firefox 3.5 but I’m sure it’s similar elsewhere. I’m currently wrapping up design on a template and my problem is the sidebar div is collapsing underneath the .widecolumn class. I’ve tried all sorts of things including changing margins, padding, positioning, etc and nothing seems to click. Anyone know how to correct this?

And I’m wondering if there’s a way that my .narrowcolumn and/or .widecolumn styles match up in height to the #sidebar div? I know I could give both the same exact pixel number, but that’s not such a great solution. Any other way to incorporate it?

Changing the column width for posts (default theme)

I want to increase the width of the text box for the single post page. I changed the “.widecolumn” so that width = 600px and adjusted the fourth margin parameter to 75px in style.css. I thought this would increase the width of the text box whilst keeping it centred, unfortunately WordPress totally ignored these changes. (Yes I did update the file). So does anyone know how I can adjust the column widths and ultimately the width of the full page?

Hi everybody!
I am searching the web for almost 3 days now, and can’t believe that I am the only one having the following problem:

I don’t want to have a sidebar on my nextgen-galleries. I can’t figure out how to make wordpress use the single.php, since it uses the “widecolumn” and no sidebar, whenever I display a gallery, maybe the album-extend.php as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Remove sidebar everywhere but home page

I want to keep the sidebar on main page but remove it from everywhere else, and in addition, make the width for these other pages the full width. I’m using a custom theme, MistyLook 3.6.1, but the author says it’s too complicated as it will require changing multiple files.

Anyone got a clue?

Sidebar discrepency IE and Firefox.

Differently colored blank space around posts on main index

I have changed my main index page from narrowcolumn to widecolumn and removed the sidebar to fit images, but now I get unwanted grey space around the right side of all the posts. Does anyone know how to fix this?
