Added the following to the functions.php

function remove_comment_fields( $fields ) {
	unset( $fields['url'] );
	return $fields;
}
add_filter( 'comment_form_default_fields', 'remove_comment_fields', 60 );

It did not work. Can anyone shed some light on what I am missing? Thanks in advance.

The format of website fields is not respected, or I am missing something.

Website – Format: https://example.com/
Text entered: example.com
Output: https://example.com/ (http instead of https)

Website – Format: https://example.com/ (remove www)
Text entered: www.example.com
Output: https://example.com/ (http instead of https)

I am using this plugin and it is working well but I want to disenable the website field that appears or else I am afraid people will post comments simply to display their websites. Can anyone let me know how this can be done?
