When I use the visual rich editor to post an image and select “left” or “right” from the drop-down menu to allow text wrapping, there is no margin between the text and the image.
This occurs in the Kubrick theme, for which the style.css specifies margins for images floated left or right, etc. Does the VRE override the style specifications? Is there any way to set the VRE to use nice-looking default image margins?
Many thanks to anyone who can help!

]]>QA: Edit a post using VRE – click the ‘html’ button to edit the html and add a few non-breaking-space tags – click ‘update’ on the html editor – see your lovely post in the main editing window with non-breaking-spaces – hit “save” – the spaces all disappear. Go back to the editor and they’re gone.
Any ideas or do I have to get a plugin to allow me to put in non-breaking spaces? If so do you know of one I can use?
Thanks!
]]>Yesterday I installed a plug-in for Firefox that disables scripting by option on a page – it’s a security plug-in that is quite popular. The plug-in is NoScript 1.1.4.1 or earlier – that a user can control and stop scripts from executing on a web page. I used it and found it to be too much hassle having to permission each page and I turned it off.
I went to write a post and noticed that all my icons and editing tools had disappeared from the VRE. This happened on a couple of my blogs. I started a process of elimination and then realised the culprit was the No-Script Firefox Plug-In. I had to remove it entirely, once I did this – the icons reappeared and is now working again.
I suggest users with this problem check their settings to ensure the following:
Visual Rich Editor is checked
In Firefox JavaScript is enabled.
Check recent extensions to make sure none disable scripting or can be reconfigured
This should work – if not – I’m out of ideas.
