Since update no visual toolbar editor

I no longer have the choice of visual or text tabs in my content editor.
There is no way for me to do a bulleted list or bold something.
It’s very frustrating.
At the top left under the add media button it says text visual and the buttons are the ones that were on the text tab.
I want my editor toolbar back.
I tried disabling all plugins.
Then I tried reinstalling the 3.8.1. update. No change.
Please help, I’m going bonkers here. I have a lot of pages to write.

I have read about people wishing to disable their Visual editor but my problem is that the options I had previously such as the Undo, Tab in or out, etc. are missing from my toolbar now. Also, I don’t see where I can add links any longer. Anyone know why this is or how to get these options back?

Following an update to 3.3.1, the toolbar for the Visual Editor is not appearing. My client’s site is running PHP 5.2, using the TwentyTen theme. GoDaddy is the hosting provider.

I have tried the following:
– clearing the cache
– using different browsers (Firefox, Chrome)
– switching the disable visual editor button in the user profile on and off
– deactivating all plugins and turning them back on, one at a time
– activating the TwentyEleven theme

None of these things worked. I would appreciate help on this. Judging by past comments, I probably need to replace a file on the server, I am not sure which one.

Toolbar disappeared in wordpress pages / posts

I bought a domain and hosting recently and am very new to wordpress. I want to create my own website and start a blog. I also want to integrate social media within it too.

Although I have used wordpress elsewhere to add pages / posts. I have ran into a problem already. On the pages / posts, there are two tabs, one for visual and one for html. The html tab displays a toolbar, but the visual has gone missing. I have followed other advice of clearing cache and ensuring the box is unchecked for disabling visual editor, but nothing has made a difference.

Can someone please help with this?

Using WP 2.8 visual editor toolbar suddenly went blank.

Did a complete browser reset (safari 4.0.1)
and
Problem fixed!
