The formatting on the front end was problematic until I installed this plugin. Thank you for advancing the look of the Author Bio with formatting including the Visual Editor.
]]>I updated to WordPress 5.6 today and now when I try to add Youtube video links the video does not show up as it had before. When I add video into Guttenberg it’s fine.
I did the plugin conflict test be switching everything off. It turned out it seems to be Classic Editor itself causing the problem. I tested this by switching everything of except Classic Editor and the problem persisted.
Further to this, when I try a different method of adding a video, eg adding embed code to the “text” tab, this does work, but then I can’t seem to return to the “visual” tab and I then can’t add any other content.
I’m working with an old site. Switching off Classic Editor seems to cause problems in other ways, so I could do with finding a quick solution to this.
Any help greatly appreciated.

]]>So I turned to the Forum. What that led to was hours going around in circles looking at masses of verbiage on the same question from others but no straightforward, authoritative instructions as to how to get it to work.
So not only is my ability to manage my web site using WP now severely, if not fatally damaged but the Help and Forum functions are anything but helpful the way they are set up.
I am seriously hoping BOTH these issues might be addressed as right now, WP’s functionality (in my hands and others’, it seems) is severely compromised.
]]>What happens, is when it is activated, it blocks the visual editor working from the frontend, effectively rendering frontend editing useless. After all, frontend editing is intended for people who are uncomfortable with coding.
Please see the two images below, I think they clarify the existing problem.

]]>In visual mode, insert a picture or a hyperlink and no matter where the cursor is, the insert is at the top of the story.
This has happened before when IE new ships but this time it didn’t show up in IE11 on Windows 7 or Win 8.1RTM/IE11.
]]>I have had a look and there seem to be plenty of people having problems with this one… I tried all the ‘remedies’ to get this going again, but still can’t get the ‘Visual’ tab and the associated ‘toolbar’ to appear. I even did a fresh install, after removing all the files and folders (except for the ‘content’ folder, and after de-activating all the plugins except Akismet. WordPress-Move trashed and ‘white-paged’ a 70-odd post blog with loads of images, so I had to start all over again.
Needless to say, I do have a good copy on my localhost running MAMP, and I’m tediously copying and pasting everything over. For this, the text mode is good, but when I want to post a new blog (generally with lots of pictures), I don’t want to have to generate it on the localhost and then copy it over to the live host every time.
Interesting is that the text editor is also the only one available on the iPhone WP-portal, too! I’ve tried everything put forward up to now, all to no avail, including new users with Admin rights etc.
HELP!! Anyone got a real tip that works on this one??
Thanks, Peter
