I am working on a site that i would like to show on the blog post not just how many people viewed the post but the registered users name that has viewed the post, currently we can see the post total with the author when it was posted (x days ago) and x Comments, i would like to be able to see the users viewing and that have viewed the post, is this possible with wordpress or is there a plugin out there that i can do this with? Just to be clear i would like to see this information within the post itself on the frontend of the website not in the admin dashboard, it would be nice to see it on the backend also but not necessary

How to show checklist when user is NOT logged in

Is there any way that we can show the checklist to viewers who are NOT logged in. Either:
1. The checkbox does not appear at all.
2. Or the checkbox appears, but clicking it displays a custom message – where we can ask the user to login in order to save the status.

Ideally speaking, something which saves the status of checked/unchecked when user is not logged in (perhaps, via the cookie) and then retains that once the user signs-in.

We are having an issue where it appears I (the admin) am logged into WordPress for anyone who views the website. I am not sure how to correct the issue. We have another site that I also manage, and we do not have the same problems with that site.

I would like for the authors on my wordpress to be able to have access to jetpack stats, but only see the stats of the posts they have authorship of.

Is that possible?

And if so, can you direct me into accomplishing this?

how to let readers and visitors log in

Hi,
How do I create a feature on my website for visitors to log in? I saw a few plugins that allows you to let readers log in through other social media sites, but I don’t want that. I would prefer to have them log on with their own username and password right on my site.
Can anyone help me with this? I know nothing about coding, (and quite little about computers overall!) so I need some specific guidance. Hopefully there is a good plugin that achieves the purpose I described…

Would it be possible to add the number of followers using separate code and also show the number of current viewers again with separate code?

I think it would be great to separate them all out this way you can put what you want wherever.

I would like to know who reads my WordPress articles. I want to interact with my readers. I told my cousin Jane about about my site and some stories about when she and I were youngsters growing up together. How can I know if she read them? If she goes to my website I won’t know about it. I want to know which stories she spent time on and how long she spent on each one. I want to keep it simple. I don’t need to know if she left her computer open on a page while doing something else.

I have tried some plugins:
Forced login
Advanced content tracking with universal analytics.
WP-slimstat
WPstats
Clicky Analytics

It needs to be easy for my viewers to voluntarily leave their contact information. (or not.) I don’t want my viewers to have to sign up in order to visit my website and read my stories. I think it’s off putting if they have to give their email address, create a user name and a password.

However if they do voluntarily sign in, sign the guest book or leave a comment, then I would like their name to be automatically attached to the analytical statistics report of what they read. I saw one statistical program that allowed you to attach a name to a data report retroactively.

After I see the report then I can call her up and say “Hi cousin Jane, I see you were looking at my story about picking homegrown corn and tomatoes. Do you remember when your family came over to our house for Christmas?”

Spam/bots being the main source of post views

Hi there, I am currently trying to get a good popular posts plugin to work but I’ve got a problem with my site and IP addresses constantly leaving spam messages that end up leaving impressions on popular post counters.

Is there a way to sort through these types of impressions, like it says certain posts have hundreds of views but in reality my site barely has 200 unique visitors in a day – I would like to know if I could reduce these to more accurate numbers?
