The video is vertical because it was taken using a phone. I have outlined it in red to show the real size.
Second issue is that the video is always placed as the first image position of the product. In the main Shop section, if you click it will play the video. You can’t go to the detailed product page unless one clicks on the product title. Again that video is shown in a small confined rectangular box in the main Shop.
]]>This only started happening when I upgraded to WordPress version 6.3.1. I tried to install the ARVE plugin but since the installation of this version I can’t add any new plugins either.
Thank you in advance for your help.
]]>All the above issues fixed when we deactivated the W3 Total Cache. But we want the plugin activate, so please tell us solution to fix these issue with keeping the W3 Total Cache.
]]>This function appears to invoke mejs-mediaelement, but results in a sizing with a height equal to the width and black space above and below the video element.
If I comment out the resizeVideo function (and variable declaration before it) the mejs-mediaelement is not invoked and the video displays fine.
So, I do have an easy fix for my problem, but you may want to have a look at it in the theme (and others that may use the same type of function)
Also, there may be some obvious thing I’m missing so feel free to “adjust” any misunderstandings I might have.
As a final thought, I would like to thank you for your theme development efforts. We use several of your themes and love them for their excellent design and simplicity.

If I choose “Do not crop” in the settings, the videos are displayed as they are on my page page with a lot of space above and below the thumbnails and the play icon is at the top of the image instead of being in the center.
If I choose to crop the images, then there’s no space above or below the thumbnails but I don’t want to turn the 16×9 thumbnails into square images. I just want the grid to look like it does in the vimeo demo.
Thanks.
]]>We have tried all variations for embedding or linking to Youtube, including just a plain vanilla <a href=. The videos show in the “Visual” tab of the home page, but not on the home page front end. I tried deactivating all plugins, with no change.
I have read in this forum that one must be logged in as administrator to avoid having videos stripped out. The site was created by one of my students as a class project. All three of us, student, teacher, and client, are administrators. But none of us can make the video appear. Here’s how we’re each listed in the database:
a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;s:1:”1″;} (student)
a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;b:1;}
a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;b:1;}
Could there be an issue with the fact that the student created the site at client’s host, but connected it to her own wordpress.com account? What else can we look at?
