I’ve recently created this website using the veryplaintxt theme
https://www.licencetoquill.co.uk
I have a very rudimentary knowledge of css, but can’t work out how to change the colour of h1 (the main title). If anyone could enlighten me I’d be very grateful!
Many thanks
Chris

Problem:
I am trying to get the sidebar to display when viewing single posts (single.php). When I look at the html for a single posts (view source) the sidebar is present but it cannot be seen in the actual page.
<?php get_sidebar() ?> is where it should be just before the footer in single.php
Sidebar works fine at index.php…
single.php
<?php get_header(); ?>
<div id="container">
<div id="content" class="hfeed">
<?php the_post(); ?>
<div id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" class="<?php veryplaintxt_post_class(); ?>">
<h2 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
<div class="entry-content">
<?php the_content('<span class="more-link">'.__('Read More', 'veryplaintxt').'</span>'); ?>
<?php link_pages('<div class="page-link">'.__('Pages: ', 'veryplaintxt'), "</div>\n", 'number'); ?>
</div>
<div class="entry-meta">
<?php printf(__('This was written by %1$s. Posted on <abbr class="published" title="%2$s">%3$s at %4$s</abbr>. When you go to the main page, you get the title and header image, but not the links to pages.

If you click on a post title, the header image disappears and is replaced by a link in the form of the words “Header Image” — but the links to pages appear.

If you then click on the page “About”, you get all three, just like they should be!

I’ve tried looking through the html in Edit Themes and I just can’t figure out why the three different pages are doing different things. I would like, obviously, to have the links to pages and the image to appear on all the pages. Does anyone have any insight?
Thanks much!!
