Unable to update to 4.3

I tried to install Jetpack and it gave me this – Jetpack requires WordPress version 4.3 or later- but would not let me update my wordpress or show me any update options on the dashboard. now I have tried logging onto my website and it says – Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_customize_preview() in /home/cay/public_html/wp-content/themes/Divi/functions.php on line 152

I have tried google and wordpress support but have found no other issues.

4.3 update Now Vimeo short code not working

Looks like a I got an auto update to 4.3. I’m no programmer & rarely access WordPress. But I see my vimeo short codes are no longer working. The code I’ve always used is:
[vimeo clip_id=”98934004″ width=”520″ height=”292″]
Now on my site, all that displays (instead of the video) is
[vimeo clip_id=”98934004″ width=”520″ height'”292″]

Any helpful hints?

I have 12 stores that created using Azon Authority plugins a theme Called PB theme, Woocommerce and PB Lite. PRofit Builder Lite to include others.

I got this message:
The called constructor method for WP_Widget is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use
__construct()

Well after doing the natural thing of updating/upgrading (because anytime there updates I naturally do it) WordPress 4.3 all my sites are broken now. Certain pages do not behave like they should, my checkout page does not jump to where it is suppose to go, images are missing.

All of this happened after I installed 4.3.

What kind of fix is coming if any? How can I remove the 4.3 and put it back the way it was and once I know the 4.3 fix has been I can try one of my sites before all of them.

Can anyone suggest a fix. I would appreciate anyone’s help…

My website is for a newly formed non-profit, we do not currently have the money for our own IT person. Our site is hosted by GoDaddy, and I am the one with the most expertise on WordPress sites. I manage another one. I am not very experienced in all the writing of codes or how to change things within the site itself. I still have not even been able to successfully login to the site via FTP to make changes that way. Without money, I am stuck on getting professional help with this issue. I can usually find my way through tough problems with the right help, guidance and instructions. So if anyone can take the time to help me, it would be greatly appreciated!

PROBLEM #1

I was alerted that our site was down. I went to it and found it was full of errors (pasted below). It had those errors at the top, but then if I scrolled down, I could still see the site and I could navigate to the other pages. They were also filled with the lines of errors at the top, but I could scroll past them to the rest of the page.

So I used came to the forums to find a solution. Most told me to start by updating the plugins. So I went to login to the site to do so. The login page was also filled with the same errors, but it had the login box below.

PROBLEM #2

I cannot login to WordPress since the update. I am using the proper credentials, but it is telling me I am not. When I tried the “forgot my password” route, it sent me an email to reset, I followed the link and it took me to a page full of errors. It also tells me I only have 3 attempts to enter an incorrect password. Not sure what it does after I get it wrong that many times…

PROBLEM #3

Here it is 2 days later, and I still have not been able to login to our site successfully to solve the issues. And now, I can no longer see our site at all. All that shows is some lines of errors…

I am very stuck, and I would appreciate any help I can get.

Cut or deactivate parts of a theme

WP4.3 only 1 theme in dashboard

in the dashboard of wordpress 4.3, i could only see 1 theme in the theme section. i have check the wp-content/theme, it contains 4 themes. i could not change other installed themes in my dashboard. please help.

WP 4.3 Version Warning

Just upgraded to WP 4.3 (still in maintenance mode) and wanted to try out the free version of Users Ultra. On the plugins page, in ‘more details’ it says, “WARNING: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.”.

Wondering if I should wait to install plugin until outta maintenance mode or if the plugin is expecting an update if not currently compatible with WP 4.3?

500 Internal Server Error After WP 4.3 Install (Divi 2.4.6.4)

Just a heads up, I received an Internal Server Error accessing the Themes Customizer in Divi 2.4.6.4).

1. I Accessed the Theme Customizer in Divi, it returned the 500 Internal Server Error.
2. De-Activated the Feed Them Social Plug-in.
3. Returned to the Theme Customizer, functioned as expected, with no noticeable errors.
4. Reactivated the Feed Them Social Plug-in. Returned the 500 Internal server Error when the Themes Customizer was accessed.

Looking forward to the update for WP 4.3. Thanks for an overall great plug-in. The word on the street is to wait a while to install the WP 4.3 plug-in.
