Version 2.6.1 installation problems – HELP!!

I have been trying to get the past 2 newest versions 2.6, now 2.6.1 installed. In past, I have not had a problem doing updates till the 2.6 one. I keep reading through 18 forum PAGES about all the problems everyone is experiencing and the frustrations. I can completely understand wholeheartedly!!! What I am experiencing is after doing the installation, I CAN NOT log in to the dashboard/admin. I have to reinstall the older version 2.5.1 which I had made a backup copy in a folder on my computer.

Can someone PLEASE help me solve this problem?

Hello. I am totally new to wordpress but have uploaded version 2.6 downloaded from www.remarpro.com at self-hosted server at www.ipower.com
I need total help to :
1.Get a new API key.Is it unique for each blog?How to get it?
2.Being able to add plugins and change themes
3.Set up the stats
4.Customize blog

My server is fully compatible with wordpress requirements but at the dashboard I cannot make any changes.I do not know a thing about php.
So any adjustments I need to make are highly appreciated.
My blog is online.Just need to customise it.Plugins or themes do not work!

hi there! Thanks a lot for this wonderful program.
I’m a Spanish jazz photographer, and when three months ago I start thinking in developing a personal blog about jazz and jazz pictures and, after a lot of doubts and crossed recommendations, I decided to use WordPress to do it, I never thought in what extent WordPress was the ideal program for me… If I could still have any doubt, the launch of this new version dedicated to McCoy Tyner has overpassed all my expectations! I’m totally delighted with that tribute! The new features are also and advantage, of course

Homepage doesn’t come up anymore

Okay I finally got into the dashboard, I had to switch from IE7 to firefox. But I noticed when I removed the /blog from my website I get a blank page. My site hosted by yahoo and I made my blog my homepage. So even though my files are stored in a directory named ‘blog’ when you type in my url it should still come up and it doesn’t anymore. Could someone point me in the right direction as to what I need to do?
