I have a couple WP sites published on an internal network with proxy access open to *.www.remarpro.com.

All of the plugin updates and WordPress updates are displayed and I’m notified about new ones, but once I try to update any plugin or WordPress itself I always get the Download failed. A valid URL was not provided. error.

I’m not sure how to troubleshoot this further.

Keep saying “Please enter a valid url”

After the last update i getting the message “Value must be a valid URL” in check box and date picker field on product backend. Has that fields valid url options this isn’t strange?

We have the Timely Frontend Submission addon installed on our site (https://www.bdcommunityconnection.org).

Multiple people who have tried to submit to our site have reported that they cannot submit their events because the form is requiring them to submid a valid website URL. They make several attempts to edit the URL, but the add on will not allow the submission.

How can I fix this issue?

A fresh install of WP 3.3.1 in a subdirectory, /novus, of mysite.com (for example). I get this error when trying to install a standard theme:

Downloading install package from /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/novus/assets/theme.zip…

Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

Otherwise, I can create new posts and pages and browse the site. I can upload manually and all is working. Same error message for plugins.

Any thoughts?
