&amp instead of “&” showing in titles

Hi, recent versions started generating feeds that show special symbols uncoded (E.g. in Facebook/Google – &amp instead of &) and it’s only on xml’s that are pulled from Product Feed PRO, other plugins seem to create feeds the right way. What could be the reason?

Fun with Japanese characters

I am trying to make a table with Japanese characters in it. It’s not working at all. It gives me nonsense characters on page preview. For example, a あ　becomes ??? and a か　becomes ???.

wordpress ver: 5.8.1
plugin ver: 1.3.9
Browser: Chrome
Macos 11.5.1

I can’t link you to the actual page because it’s behind a block for the time being, but I will be willing to grant a dev temporary access to show what I am referring to, or I can send a screenshot, I just apparently can’t include one here.

Unicode/UTF problems

This plugin works great, but I have had some problems with filenames containing non-ASCII characters, which have been converted to different characters, thus making the links (both in the media library and in pages and posts) point to the wrong location. At least these two are problematic:

? (U+00E5) being converted to a? (U+0061 and U+030A)
? (U+00EF) being converted to i? (U+0069 and U+0308)

Custom Encoding for different characters, possible?

Hey,
I am having trouble with two of my price feeds, they are in my local language (Swedish) and because of this some of the characters we have such as “?, ?, ?” won’t show up correctly in the price feed.

Is it possible to change the encoding of the price feeds somehow to fix my issue?`

the_content not showing non-latin characters

I have a weird promblem, all the contentn areas (the_content(); tags) don’t show ??? or other scandic characters. Title and custom wysiwyg editors work just fine. This is driving me nuts. I have everything set to utf8, meta, database, wp-config. Only thing that doesn’t work is the_content that shows ?????–??.

Links in utf, does not recognize. Because it contains data about them in lowercase, as if to enter the address bar utf url is passed in uppercase.
Example:
So the data is stored – /%d0%b2%d1%85%d0%be%d0%b4
But if to enter the address manually or paste text into the address bar, it turns out so – /%D0%B2%D1%85%D0%BE%D0%B4
And in the end instead of the desired will be redirected to the error page.

UTF-8 File Names Will Not Resize

Hello,

Amazing plugin! I’ve been using it on other sites for a while now.

However, I tried it on a new site with pictures with UTF-8 file names only to get the error message, /../2016/02/????.jpg is not writable.

When I try a picture with a non-UTF-8 file name (e.g. picture.jpg), it works just fine.

Will this work to set the UTF from Swedish to UTF8?

Hi,

I just discovered that some of the tables in my database use a weird collation of swedish and not utf8_general_ci .

I’ve seen ways to code this but since I’m not super comfortable on that kind of backend work, I wonder if your plugin will convert the utf?
