How to add Users manually only?

Hi everybody,
i am running a page where there is no registration form, because the client wants to add users manually only. This results in difficulties for the users (re-)setting their password.
I tried two ways:
1. setting the role to “email activation required”. When users activate their account and navigate to the “set password” tab, they are asked to enter their current password. (what they don’t have/know). Is there a way to send the initial password in the account activation email? Or remove the “current password” field in the change password tab?

2. setting role to “auto approve”. then a password reset link should be included in the welcome email, but it seems this placeholder does not work in the welcome mail.

Do you have an idea how to make it possible to let the user directly set his password on first login/activation?

Cleantalk breaks Gravity Forms User Activation Link

With CleanTalk activated, the user notification from Gravity Forms from a User Registration form does not send the user activation link. The form collects name, email, password, etc. When submitted, the user notification email sends an activation link with the {activation_url} token in the message template. This works fine without CleanTalk but with CleanTalk the message is sent but the activation link is not in it.

Don’t show Inactive users

Hi,
I don’t want to show Users in Member Request Section who has not activated their account.
If user account activation is pending thn don’t show on Member Request section.

We protect parts of our content for members-only with the WP-members plugin. Since recently we cannot activate new registrations anymore. Not in bulk, not individually. There is no error message. Once you click on ‘activate’, the site shows a blank page. We have now 61 users waiting to be activated.

We recently upgraded to wordpress 5.6 but downgraded again to 5.5.3 thinking that the problem would be solved. Which is not the case.

We always update plugins whenever a new version is available. The WP-members plugin version we use now is 3.3.7.1.

Any idea how we can solve this?

Plugins are disabled temporary when viewing the wp-activate.php page file

On multisite when viewing the wp-activate.php page file, all plugins are disabled temporary because the WP_INSTALLING constant was defined at the top of the wp-activate.php file. So whenever a new user is confirming their account by email, this prevent plugins from running and listening to important events such as wpmu_new_user, add_user_to_blog, and wp_activate.

Edit user activation email

Hi is it possible to edit the layout of the new user email activation link. I don’t want to edit the link I just want a better layout as it looks ugly. I see that tunnelbear VPN have a good one where you click on a button to activate. is this possible ?

Paypal payment status and activation of user

Hello, I am using ER forms with Paypal to register my users. I would like to make the status of the user active only when the payment is completed. How do i setup that? Right now, The user is getting active(because I had auto register enabled on my user activation) regardless of their payment status.

User Activation Email Link leads to an error

When a new user registers, he gets an email from my WP website with a link e.g.

When the user clicks the link, he sees a page with an error as follows.
OOPS! THAT PAGE CAN’T BE FOUND.
It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?

1. I have configured that users will be manually activated by the admin. So, the email should not have been sent. When I see the new user in the Users->Manage Signups screen, the last field indicates that an email is already sent.
2. I configured Home as the page for Activity on Activation. That did not seem to make any difference to the error. Now, I am unable to find the page where that setting is.
3. I sent an activation email again from the manage Signups screen and when I used the link, which was identical to the link above, the activation was a success.

So, I am at a loss at what is happening. Why the user gets an email without admin interaction and the first email does not work.

When verifying users at users.php?page=unverified-users no email is sent to the verified user.

Shouldn’t it? Which email template?

The following users could not be activated

I have a user that when clicking the activation link in the email gets the error message “Could not create user” and when I try and manually activate them through unconfirmed it gives me the error message of “The following users could not be activated: “.* .

I’m using a multisite setup and WordPress did create his account, but it won’t activate it.

I doubt its an issue with unconfirmed, but I was hoping someone might have some insight into what was going on.
