Meta Title/Description not saving, when ACF Extended is activated.

  • When the plugin ACF Extended is active, on some pages my meta titles and descriptions won’t save. When the plugin is deactivated it works. Is this an issue with Yoast Content Analysis, or ACF Extended?

    ACF Extended developer here ?? if you allow me to intervene.

    I made a test on a clean WP Install with ACF Pro + ACF Extended + Yoast + ACF for Yoast only, and it works fine on my end. Here is the video of my test.

    Note that since the setup involve 4 different plugins, it is important to isolate your install from the rest of your plugins/custom code, to make sure additional plugins don’t interfere during the save.

    In order to isolate the issue, I would recommend clone your website on a development / staging environment using Duplicator or your hosting backup solution, if any. Then try to disable all your plugins one-by-one (at the exception of ACF Pro, ACF Extended, Yoast & ACF for Yoast) until you find which one cause the issue.

    If the problem persists, I would suggest switch to the native WP Twenty Twenty Two theme, to make sure you don’t have any custom code in your theme which would break the feature.

    In all cases you should be able to confirm the feature works like I did, by setting up a clean WP install with ACF Pro + ACF Extended + Yoast + ACF for Yoast only, and test the feature on it.
