After the plugin update, group activity with media files attached has bugs.

-When uploading the VIDEO file, if I hit the cancel upload button, everything stucks and buttons disappear.

-After video or image upload finish and I hit submit button, nothing happens. The button stays active for some time and if I lose my nerve I hit it again and therefore I get two posts published instead of one.

(The problem with the second published post is that it doesn’t have media files attached. In the meta table, there is no row with that activity id.)

I am working on a custom project where I need this to be resolved.

If you are not able to resolve it any time soon, I will need to write my own custom solution.

Video file type not supported?

I have recently changed my page to the WordPress ‘Blink’ page and i am having issues uploading video content, mainly via Youtube.

Every time I try and add the URL it comes back back with ‘file type not supported’.

Initially I thought I may need to update my browser but it seems no matter what I do I cannot rectify this.

My old video content is still on the page from the page i had before i upgraded to ‘Blink’.

Can anyone help me??

Problem Embedding Youtube Videos

I just had my website converted to a WordPress site and am just getting familiar with it.

I’m trying to embed youtube videos that we have posted to our youtube site on our home page.

When i embed them using the HTML part of the edit page, the embedded link shows up and if I previe the page, the video shows up. However, as soon as I get back to the Visual editing page, the embedded video disappears and the coding is gone from the HTML page.

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? I’m not navigating away from the page at all, so I don’t understand why I’m losing the data.

Can I post my own video without a 3rd party plugin?

I have uploaded a video to my server via the post editor, but I can’t get it to show up in Preview. Do I need some sort of 3rd party plug-in to get it right? I know how to embed a video from YouTube or other, but I’d like to post this directly.

Any help would be appreciated. I have not had luck with searching the forum.

I need to upload to my WordPress site a film/documentary that I’ve shot.

Ideally I’d like to make it available for downloading as well as streaming.

What’s the best plug-in for that?

I’m really new to this, so I’d appreciate any & all insights & suggestions for the best way to do this.

Ok, I have spent two day’s researching every answer for my issue. I’ve been to every plugin, link, forum, youtube video to help and still nothing… that being said, this is my problem. I have two of the same blogs. I started a free wordpress.com blog and moved it to a www.remarpro.com blog. On my .org blog I imported everything so it would be the same.

After doing that, I am no longer able to post videos or upload videos that I once had running on my blog.

I was just about to try videopress but I don’t believe that would solve my problem… When I do a post preview, it just shows the coding, but on the html and visual there is the box where the video should be…

Someone please help b4 I give up on wordpress and my blog….

Uploading Movies

Over the last year, I’ve tried a handfull of times to upload videos (.mov). Even when they were under 8kb, they will not upload. I have uploaded them via ftp but they still do not show up in my media files. What am I doing wrong? We would like to promote some events with video.

Adding a video

I have a video which plays OK when I click on it in its file but when I ‘insert video’ into my blog I get just the title. I have uploaded to my ftp – https://mydomainname/videos/infinity01.wmv

There is obviously a correct code to upload this with and I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this.
