Trouble inserting photos

I have photos in JPG files that appear in Picassa on my PC and in iPhoto on a Mac. Often, but not always, I am unable to upload from there to the Media Library. Instead, I get “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later” message.

Other times, an image actually appears in the Media Library, but when I go to insert it in the post, I don’t get the photo. However, an additional space appears in the post as if something were there. (Not a pic size, just a character size space.)

I don’t know code.

Please help.

INTERNAL SERVER ERROR from uploading pics

Hi all

Just yesterday (fri nov 23rd 2012) I started getting an INTERNAL SERVER ERROR (not to be mixed up with the 500 server error) every time I tried to upload a picture.
I called my host server at godaddy and they helped me trouble shoot by disabling each plugin one by one then it seemed to work again.
But today (sat nov 24th 2012) I am encountering the same error message! After contacting godaddy they said the problem is with wordpress or my theme.
I have tried logging in and out of my site, tried a different browser, tried both versions of the uploader, disabling and enabling all plugins one by one and nothing changes! I have contacted my theme provider (‘origin mag’ by WPZoom on Themeforest.net) and am waiting to hear from them. Has anyone else has this problem?
I have tried changing a few things in my .htaccess file from this link I was sent https://www.nullin.com/2009/11/30/fix-500-internal-error-in-wordpress/ but it didn’t change anything.

This is the error message:

INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Uploaded images showing as broken links

This morning, one of the images I uploaded shows up as uploaded in my media library, but shows as a broken link if I make it a featured image on one of my blog posts. I’ve tried other browsers, clearing my caches, etc. – that doesn’t work. I checked in ftp, the pic is there so I tested the pic’s URL, and that does load correctly. No new plugins installed, or settings changed, since I uploaded pics just a few days ago, and those pics (as well as all previous pics) show up just fine.

Any ideas?

Is there a plug in or hack that i will be able to let guest upload pics to a certain page without getting into admin of blog. Say if they wanted to brag about their pets and upload pics to show it off. of course they would have to register first is my guess.

WordPress and Plugin update

Soooo, I finally updated WordPress to 2.8 and all my plugins one by one but now I can’t upload any pictures unless I deactivate all the plugins and then reactivate them…..super annoying. I may have done this while upgrading versions or plugins. I’m not sure. Any help would be great!

I have a problem with uploading pics in 2.7
I can upload it and also gives me all the options in the uploaded window like it should normally work… when its done uploading the picture doesnt show on the right upper side of the gallery as it normally should. It looks blank. i have tried all the options : including it in the post or just as a thumbnail or posting the link but it doesnt show like other pics in my gallery.
in other ords i upload the picture, attach it in my post and i cant see it anywhere. in the homepage the thumbnail of the pic attached to the article shows the red X and a blank box instead of the picture.

Ps : i have other pics that i have uploaded long time ago and i am enamble to see them either in the post or in the gallery from my admin panel, the thing is that it has been a wekk that i cant upload any pics. I have tried jpeg. if png nothing works. i re installed my windows coz i thought it was related to a program i installed and it still doesnt work. so its definitely wordpress but i dont know how to fix it.
any idea?? by the way the permition of uploads file in the wp-content are 755

Trouble uploading images

My issue is the display of my uploaded pics. The thumb comes up as black and the full image is rainbowed. I tried upgrading my thumbnail viewer but it didn’t change. I don’t want to upgrade WP, I tried the new one and didn’t like it.

I recently isntalled wordpress and uploaded a new theme.There is a problem of uploading images while we want to insert the pic in the post.Here is a link of its screenshot i took:

It says
” unable to create directory/home/xyz(variable)/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2008/01.
Is its parent directory writable by the server?
