Im pretty sure mydomain-name is the right one….but…because it matches define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘mydomain-name’) from wp-config
so when I upload the site to the internet server this is the file I should copy and upload using ftp, correct? and NOT any of the other 4 choices?
If so I can upload everything in my WP folder plus this, change the urls to match up, and I will be good to go…I hope
]]>I built a WP site locally on my computer and I am now trying to upload it to my website using either cpanel or FTP (filezilla). FileZilla is not letting me login properly and cpanel is breaking my heart. I have been attempting to drag and drop every single wordpress file from my computer to cpanel, and I think I have most of them up there, but I do not even know where they are or what to do with them.
I have no experience with taking a locally built site and uploading it to a remote server and I so desperately need to be able to do this.
Somebody help me, please.

Thanks
]]>Is it possible to zip up the entire blog, send it to someone, and have them unzip, and ftp the whole thing to their servier,
or,
do I need to send them the site in parts, theme, content and instructions to configure.
I’m just trying to think of the best way to send them the completed site,
Cheers.
]]>I was trying to upload a locally hosted new website to replace an existing site at www.creativeloop.org. Following instructions at [ https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/moving-a-wordpress-installation-from-local-server-to-a-live-site/ ] I renamed the “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” in the general settings of the local site to match the live site (www.creativeloop.org).
This didn’t go well, as I couldn’t log in to either site.
I’ve restored access to my local site via phpMyAdmin, but I can’t access my live site’s dashboard. I’ve tried following instructions to add a new user in the SQL database [ https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-an-admin-user-to-the-wordpress-database-via-mysql/ ] but at [ creativeloop.org/wp-admin ] the new user isn’t recognised and the original passwords for existing users ‘do not match’. The reset password via email option isn’t playing ball either.
So I’m locked out and I think I’ve exhausted options to regain access. Or have I?
If I was to delete all contents of my public_html folder via FTP would I just be able to do a fresh install of WP on my live server and upload my localsite and progress from there?
I’m not confident that it’ll work, and my old-live site is still active and viewable.
Any help would be appreciated, I’m not sure how to progress.
