Upgrade Failure

Just tried to upgrade a customer from 2.01 to 2.7.
I do have a backup and even a complete download of all files on a separate HD.

On this particular site MYSQL 5.0 is on a non-accessible shared server.
PHP version 4.4.7

PROBLEM
Site Admin Log In is blank. Tried manual, https://shorecatch.com/wp/wp-admin/upgrade.php This is also blank.

I did delete old files as per Upgrade: Detailed Instructions via FTP except for one which is would not be a good idea – “php4.core” @ 8.3 MB

Can’t upgrade to 2.7

I just set up WordPress 2.6.5 through Bluehost. They set it up for me and it works fine. I haven’t done any work on the blog, so it is exactly as it was first set up. The program says upgrade to 2.7. I downloaded, unzipped, deleted old files, and uploaded. I was careful to make sure the old wp-config.php was saved. It didn’t upgrade. I tried it again and unzipped and uploaded. Same thing. The program still seems to work fine, but it still tells me to upgrade to 2.7. Does anyone have any thoughts?

cannot edit publish dates in either version

i have just upgraded to the latest version

when i go into admin, into edit post , i can edit content and save post, yet i cannot edit the publishing date.

this applies to the default theme as well as my theme …

does anyone have any clues.

Error after Upgrade 2.7

I upgraded to wordpress 2.7, then upgraded my plugins. Now if i add a new post to my blog, all my sidebar menu widgets and footer are gone.

I have removed the plugins and reinstalled them, but that doesn’t fix anything. I tried to re-install wordpress 2.7 automatically from within wordpress, but i get this message: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class pclzip in /home/content/w/a/y/wayde76/html/4momz/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 171

I also can not re-install wordpress stats, i get the same error message “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class pclzip in /home/content/w/a/y/wayde76/html/4momz/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 171”

Can anyone please help, i’m driving myself CRAZY!!!

HELP! The dreaded blank white page instead of a published post

I am not a programmer…merely a blogger that LOVES WordPress. Everything with the upgrade seemed to go beautiful, however, that was the duck above the water…

Under the water…I am scrambling like the webbed feet of a duck because my blog will not publish a post. I can publish a post if I go through WordPress Direct (WPD)…but not my www.remarpro.com 2.7 admin panel. I edit the post click on Update Post and I get sent to a white screen that does nothing.

1. I have emptied all my temorary internet files, cache, & cookies.
2. I have tried this on another pc at the house.
3. I changed my theme to WordPress default (that didn’t work so I changed it back).
4. I disabled any plugins that I had installed before the issue (WordPress Thread Comment & Seesmic). But, I have not been able to post since the upgrade…unless using WPD.

What am I missing? I am not a programmer and so I do not know what .php files to check as your instructions all “assume” that I know what I’m doing and where.

Thank you for the great looking update and the customizeable dashboard…I can’t wait to make full use of your service.

since upgrade this morning, redirects? and no more browser friendly

second time, writing here, first time “no title” so have to start again, i really hate the updating process–it has cost me –almost every time.

so i got a plug in that auto-updates.
the blog seems to working, and I was able to edit a post i made before the update, but it is confused
there is a redirect showing up in the browser bar, and it is no longer a “friendly” type–(lots of percentage signs etc, and my title no longer shows up in the very top of page of the window)

to ans these questions for you
i do have backups
i also have feedburner

any advice please?
