Hi there! I’m curious about the issue I’m having with the plugin.

I have a few websites running on Astra WP theme (Pro version), all on the same server, with the same settings. However, only one presents a jQuery issue while working with Updraft Plus (free version).

Error description:

When I log into the backend and go to the plugin page, the Backup button doesn’t work.
I also noticed not being able to go between the tabs of the plugin settings.
Some of the text that should be presented in the pop-up window seems to be built into the page
And upon clicking the Backup buttin, an error appear in Console

There may be people crazy enough to skip backing up their WP sites, but they have zero excuse given that Updraft Plus exists. It’s dead simple to set up, and even simpler to use. It shows you what backups you’ve already got, allows you to choose how many to keep, gives you granular control over what they consist of, has tons of options about where to save them, and keeps you informed moment to moment about what it’s doing when you use it.

Oh, and BTW: It’s free for basic capabilities. Great, great plug-in.

Does Upraft Plus Create Old Versions of Files in

Hey, does Updraft Plus leave several versions of the files in wp-content?

For example, in the wp-content directory, I currently have the following files:

litespeed
litespeed-old
litespeed-old-old
index.php
index.php-old
index.php-old-old
etc

I have no idea what is causing. Please let me know if this is an Updraft Plus feature.

Strange Interaction with Yoast SEO

Hello. Since yesterday, whenever I access Yoast SEO, “Updraft Plus” appears at the top of the page, and also in the URL display tag. My WordPress and Plugins are all up-to-date. It’s NOT a crisis – both plugins seen to be working fine. It’s just odd. It happened immediately after a plugin update (Thrive Themes) caused problems, and I went into Updraft to check my backups. The problem did not happen before then. The issue does not happen if Updraft is deactivated. I have deleted and re-installed both Yoast and Updraft, there was no change. Identical issue on multiple browsers. I’ve cleared the Cache. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I attached screenshots but got error messages about empty alt attribute.

Updraft Plus Backup from a Deleted Website

Hello everyone,

My website was backed up by Up draft Plus, I took weekly backups, the backups used to be available on the Updraft Plus dashboard. My website had a Malware attack last night and all the data on the website was deleted, I have cleaned up the website now, by reinstalling word press etc.

My question is that is it possible to get that backup somehow from Updraft Plus now? As it was only stored on the dashboard and not on a remote storage

Please if someone faced this kinda issue and got a backup from somewhere, I would really appreciate that. Thank You!

Old Backups in Remote Storage (Dropbox) Not Deleting

Hey there,

I’ve tried just about everything I can personally think of to fix this issue, and looked through various forums for a fix on this but have never found an answer!

My website is using UpdraftPlus as its backup service. I am using Dropbox as the remote storage, and the back ups seem to work completely fine. However, it does not erase the previous back up data from Dropbox. Subsequently my Dropbox fills up quickly and I have to manually erase the old back ups to continue backing up the website. I have noticed this has happened to others.

Troubleshooting steps I have taken to no avail include: disconnecting UpdraftPlus from Dropbox and reconnecting, wiping the settings – deleting and reinstalling the plugin – then reconnecting, wiping the setting – deleting and reinstalling the plugin – then connecting to Google Drive

After purging and resetting the problem persists. Since it would seem that the error is coming from UpdraftPlus since no matter what storage system I use, the old backups are not deleting.

There are about 25 lines of code at the end pertaining to the Dropbox deletion that it shows an error:
