I updated WP to the latest version and it seems to be stuck in the “Copying the required files…” part. It’s been like that for over an hour. How do I fix it? I can’t access admin properly.
]]>The slider usually works perfectly, but after update to ver. 2.1.15 the images all display at greatly increased sizes e.g. 350px × 526px is scaled to 1,016px × 1,527px and 349px × 526px is scaled to 1,016px × 1,531px. All images are sized to 526px height with varying widths. The navigation arrow buttons have disappeared, although still ticked.
]]>After updating from version 1.9.16 to 1.9.17, the menu shows in both languages on every page:
{:GB}HOME{:}{:FR}ACCEUIL{:}{:GB}GALLERY{:}{:FR}GALERIE{:}{:GB}MAPS{:}{:FR}CARTES{:} {:GB}WEATHER{:}{:FR}MéTéO{:}
The language selection icon has disappeared and can only access the GB pages.
I went to the Plugin page in Admin and clicked on WPGlobus Translate Options link by mistake, because the WPGlobus plugin was not showing. This was caused by the failure to complete the update.
After reinstalling the update the plugin appears to be working normally.
]]>Iv’e noticed this tends to be more with additions to a page i.e. new content block as I can edit styles and sometimes modify bits that have already saved.
This particular page it will not let me continue the list I am building as it does not save the new content block.
I’ve tried disabling every plugin except pootle, I’ve tried on several PCs and on an iPad, and using several different browsers

Let me know~~~
Blake
I’ve never had problems updating a pluging before.
I got the following message: “The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. tmp/configCache.php”
I tried changing the configCache.php from 644 to 755. Nothing.
Then it was suggested (i’d erroneously posted a question on a resolved topic) that I change my caching options to not cache config, then simply delete the configCache.php file.
I don’t have caching set up through Wordfence. I’m using W3 total cache and I don’t have any options about caching config files?
I’ve also gone through all my wp files, from admin to each plugin. I don’t see any file permissions that have changed at all. I have everything set up either as 644 or 755.
I also tried activating and deactivating the plugin.
I’m sure it is something very simple that I’m failing to see? I hope! I’m still very new at this.
Thank you,
