Umlauts only as UTF-8 codes in pdf ?

Is there a way to output umlauts (? ü ? ) from german language correctly in the PDF? Currently its shown as UTF-8 codes, that is not readable.

It would be a shame if umlauts are not possible, until then everything works perfectly.

I have a problem with German umlauts (?,ü, ?,?) in Postie. ?They are encoded in the WordPress title when importing from the subject of the mail. This is not the case in the text. Everything is fine there. I have already installed the plugin Postie Addon to Clean HTML. But it doesn’t help

Access denied after search

Currently every time after the editor does a search for words containing German umlauts in his website, he is locked out from access. Reason (according to log-files): SQL-injection.

We would need to switch to another firewall, as the editor says he cannot work anymore in his website that way.

Incompatible with dieresis ????ü

I tried out the plugin and it is (would be) very useful. However as soon as I use a dieresis (????ü) the whole content of my blog posts disappears. If this error is general, this means lots of people won‘t be able to use it, since their blog languages contain dieresis. Are other users experiencing the same issue? And (how) can it be solved? Thanks a lot.

Hallo!

Ich verwende die Pro-Version des Plugins (Version 4.8.5) unter Elementor und habe folgendes Problem: aktiviere ich den angebotenen SPAM-Schutz für die im Impressum angegebene E-Mail-Adresse, wird die verwendete IDN-Domain komplett zerhackt. Die Einbindung des Impressums erfolgt über den erzeugten Short-Code.

Auch wenn die IDN-Domain ohne SPAM-Schutz korrekt dargestellt wird, habe ich es mit einer Forcierung auf UTF-8 versucht, leider ohne Erfolg.

Gibt es ggf. einen Workaround um den Domainnamen korrekt darzustellen?

On our installation the following URL leads to a 403 on searching users containing an umlaut (here the german letter: “?”) and we cannot find a setting which helps us out:

Problems with german Umlauts

Hi,

first of all: thanks for your great plugin!

Everything works fine for me except the Umlauts in german. I tried to work around the umlauts (??ü), but it didn’t work for some things, especially the name of categories, K?se is cheese in german and there is no option to rename it.

I want to use the following shortcut: [pods name=”box_product” template=”Infos nach Inhalt” where=”produktkategorie.slug=’K?se'”][/pods]

If i use different slugs without an umlaut (?ü?) it works, but not with an ?.

How can we solve it?

Dear Yoast team

Currently, the umlaut in an organisation’s name does not show up in markups as an umlaut. For example, ü appears as \u00fc. This has led to google not displaying site names with umlaut in its mobile search results to the right of favicon.

Would you be able to fix this issue in a future update?

The German umlauts ?, ?, ü, ? etc. are no longer displayed correctly in the entire menu if the plugin is installed. Is there a solution to the problem?
