Why does my blog post show up twice on the same page?

I just posted a new blog entry and for some reason it shows up twice on the same page.

Showing two posts instead of one

Hi. I love this plugin, and it has worked flawlessly until now. I have changed my theme, and now the Featured Post Widget shows two posts instead of just one when I select Take a random post

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Split blog to post in 2 separate pages

I know this question has been asked before but I haven’t been able to resolve it. I’m a newbie to wordpress and really need help.

I would like to split my posts to show on two specific pages which will have links in the header. One will be news and one will be blog. I don’t want the main posting page where everything is posted together. I just want them to go straight to their respective pages.

Hope this is understandable. I’m not sure how to word it.

Only Two Posts Showing on Blog Page after Update

Only two posts show up on my blog page. When I add a new one, it becomes one of the two, pushing the older post off the page.

The problem isn’t that the older posts vanish — they’re easily findable with the “previous” links I’ve installed. There is a title for you to click on them but the post itself won’t show. It’s just weird that there are only two on the main blog page.

I have the “Reading” options set to show up to 10. It is also set to a full post for the up to 10 posts.

This is probably an easy one for somebody out there — I just haven’t figured out the right way to do a search that finds the answer!

Text in posts appears twice at top and bottom of post

facts: I am using wordpress 3.1, my theme is a free version of ‘platform’, and my problem is that when I enter simple text into a post, and then post a picture, the text appears twice, both above and below the picture – Im a bit of a noob when it comes to actual coding, which is why I DL’d the ‘platform’ theme because it has a nice interface for dummies – but no where in the interface does it say (at least to my knowledge) anything about how to stop it from posting the text I entered ONCE, twice
