Menu does not toggle on mobile

For a few days the menu does not work as usual on mobiles. At a width less than 910px the full menu is shown, it does not toggle to a hamburger button any more. On desktop it is still working as expected.

I use a modified version of twenty sixteen as a child theme and have never had any issues with the mobile version. When i deactivate all plugins the bug is still there. I did not change anything during the past few days.

WordPress: 6.4.2, PHP: 8.2, all browers. All Plugins and themes actualized.

Exception in displaying the avatar of the article author

Hello, my website is currently using WordPress version 6.3.2 and the theme is Twenty Sixteen.

I found that if there are only articles published by the same author on the website, the article author’s avatar will not appear in the article list on the homepage of the website.

If there are articles published by different authors, the article list on the homepage of the website will display the author’s avatar of the article.

I have changed other background themes but did not have this problem. Even if only the same author publishes articles, the article list on the homepage of the website will still display the author’s avatar of the article.

It seems to be an obvious problem with Twenty Sixteen. Has anyone solved this problem?

[UsersWP] Published articles cannot display the author’s avatar

Hi, my WordPress version is 6.3.1.
The version of UsersWP I currently have installed is 1.2.3.22.
The set theme currently being used is Twenty Sixteen.

After I installed the UsersWP plug-in and enabled it, I found that the author’s avatar could no longer be displayed on published articles.
Before UsersWP is installed, the avatar of the article author can be displayed normally.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Installation into Theme Twenty Sixteen Issue

Hi There

I decided to start a new site on WordPress 6.2.2 running Twenty Sixteen theme. I installed several plugins etc, and all went well. I wanted to use wppa, as I know it well. But sadly the installation caused a critical site error, which I recovered from by disabling the pluing using FTP.

Do you know if for sure there are no compatibility issues with Twenty Sixteeen?

Server version: 10.3.31-MariaDB – MariaDB Server

PHP version: 7.3.30

Menu Expand not showing on mobile version

Since a few weeks, the menu on the mobile version of my website doesn’t expand, which is a problem because it links to all of my products.

It works well when visiting with a computer though. I checked and the theme is updated. I asked for help on the french forum last week but got no answer for now and the matter is quite urgent.

Hi! I stayed Twenty Ten for years, but now moving to Sixteen cause of mobile support. Please can anybody help to change appearance of Twenty Sixteen, so it will look almost like Twenty Ten?

to have “empty” borders on sides of the template
have black menu the size of Twenty Ten…
remove left size where “leave a comment”… it should be on bottom of post.

I use child theme to do changes…

High CLS on 2.9 with many menu items

Hello,

in version 2.9 of Twenty Sixteen theme there’s high CLS (around 0,15) when there’re many menu items added. When I check CLS with “CLS Checker” on Chrome, then it gives me info that CLS is higher because of elements like this one and similar:

Element: li Class: menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-post menu-item-6663313

In version 2.8 there’s no such problem. Please fix it if possible.

Hiding thumbnail of special post ID in bloglist

I created a nice website
[ redundant link removed ]
for my tennis club using the theme twenty sixteen. On the starting page (here page ID=40) there are arranged 4 thumbnails linked to the most actual themes, followed by the blog list using the ?content views“ plugin (pt-cv-view ID=0e7aab3kcx).

As an additional feature I want to hide the thumbnail of one special post (here post ID=14515, the post width an animated gif) on horizontal screens of tablets or on PC screens (displaying widgets on the right side) using css code. The @media function for this screen selection is working well – as example I built in black borders for smartphones and red borders for wide screens (just open the website and turn a tablet 90 degrees).

I tried a variety of css codes using

@media screen and (min-width:55.875em) .post-14515 or .postid-14515 .pt-cv-thumbnail {display: none !important;}

or similar but I didn’t succeed to hide this special post.

What is the correct css code for hiding this special post?

deleting sidebar widget in Twenty Sixteen

Hi everyone, I created a sidebar widget on my page, then decided I didn’t want it. I managed to delete the button, which was the one thing the sidebar had. But now, my site is showing a noticeable horizontal line where the sidebar was. How do I get rid of it? My theme is Twenty Sixteen.
