No Sidebar “About” section widget from WordPress? Twenty Sixteen Theme

I am trying to add an “About” section on the sidebar. I’m using the Twenty Sixteen theme. I have added other widgets (Categories) successfully but was unable to find an “About” widget or anything like it. When I tried to create one with “Paragraph” widget, I was unable to change the fonts to match my site and seemed to have very little control in general.

Haven’t been able to find the answer anywhere. I’ve avoided using the HTML solution because I don’t want to mess with the code too much. WordPress makes widget control much harder than it should be…

Logo appearing blurry on home page

Hello,

I created a high resolution custom logo for my site’s homepage a while back and it appears blurry (especially when zooming in) regardless of image resolution or quality once uploaded to the Twenty Sixteen theme.

In the past I’ve tested the logo image on some other sites with different themes and didn’t have the issue. The image being used is a PNG file for transparent background and I just tried adding it as a SVG file but it doesn’t seem to support that file type.

Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Collapses immediately on mobile (iPhone & Tablet)

I’ve successfully used Collapse-O-Matic for several years using the Decode theme in WordPress. It works perfectly on desktop & mobiles. The website is being re-built using the WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme and the plug-in works OK on desktops but, when used on a iPhone or Apple tablet, (I’ve not tried on Android), the expanded text collapses immediately. It’s possible to keep it open by pressing the text title for a couple of seconds but this is not intuitive. It also brings up the iOS text selection view to get in the way of the expanded text. Doesn’t seem to be a browser issue as same problem using Safari & Firefox.
Any ideas?

My theme is twenty sixteen. I’ve been trying to no avail to get some kind of “read-more” application to work. I’ve tried everything, I think, including Collapse-o-Matic, with the shortcode. Absolutely nothing works. I have three questions:
1. Is there something basically wrong with my site? (Everything else works fine)
2. Is my theme at fault here? I used a plugin, as well as the usual tag feature in my blog. That didn’t work. (All I get is a blank where the “read-more” is, on preview.)
3. If I change themes, what could the result be? Am I able to switch back to my original theme if the new one doesn’t work? I know to backup before doing this, but I would really appreciate an answer, if possible. My hair is turning white, day by day!
And finally, how can I assess the theme properly before installing it?

i am getting a new website going .. i like the twenty sixteen theme but would like the top of page tighter .. ie less white space .. i can’t seem to find codes for the header and above area so i can make it less .. any ideas appreciated ..

Ok, so I’m looking for a little help. My Blog is at www.soundsoftheaveragelife.com
and I’d like the text in the blog posts to be wider and fill the entire box. Previously, the theme I have installed had the metadata (date, time, comments button, etc) on the left hand side, so that is why there is a space. I installed a plug-in to remove the metadata, but I can’t get the text to move to the left and fill the space. I am wondering if there is any CSS codes to override this?

Order of page titles listed in sidebar

I’m using the widget?included with the 2016 theme to list the page titles in the sidebar. I’ve tried the three sorting options but can not get the page titles in sidebar to match the order on my main navigation menu. Is there a way to list the page title on side bar in the same order as main navigation menus?

Post titles don't show on Blog page

I’m using the WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme. Here’s the page where I have a series of posts. Unfortunately, the titles of the posts aren’t showing. https://successmedia.biz/Delivers/blog/

Can you tell me how to get the titles of the posts to show on this page. They do when you click on the entire post.

FYI, awhile back I had a child’s theme created to only have the title of a page show up on the menu, not on the actual page. I don’t know if this affected the post titles.

Content added to parent pages are not displayed

In wordpress I am able to add page title and content while creating new pages.
But the content added to the parent pages are not displayed in my website. Child pages are working fine though. Have anyone face this issue before? I am a newbie to wordpress. It would be great if anyone could help solve this issue. I ma using Twenty Sixteen theme and WordPress version 4.5.2
