Since updating to WordPress 6.7, I’ve noticed that plugins not hosted on www.remarpro.com are not translating correctly and are instead displaying only in English. I’ve tried using load_plugin_textdomain()
with both the init
and plugins_loaded
hooks, but the translations are still not being applied.
load_plugin_textdomain()
function returns true when logged..po
and .mo
files are correctly formatted and placed in the plugin’s languages
directory.Despite this, the translations are still not being applied, and everything falls back to English.
Am I missing something here? Is there a specific issue with WordPress 6.7 and plugin translations for plugins not hosted on www.remarpro.com? What steps can I take to resolve this?
Thank you in advance!

]]>This problem started today; whenever I make a translation and save it, in the translating interface it looks good, I instantly see the translated text when I click “save translation”, but then I get out of the interface the text shows only in the default language.
Interface capture
Interface saved translation
Out of the interface
What can I do to fix this? You may have noticed that previous translations are visible, only the new one isn’t.
I have also noticed that after a while (30-60 minutes) the text starts showing translated, what’s going on? It used to be instantly. I also tried changing translations, when I do it happens the same, it looks good on the interface, then when I get out after saving the new translation I find the old/previous translation and not the new one I just made.
Thanks for helping me out with this!

Can someone help? Thanks
]]>I built a site a few months ago that had some sample translations applied to it, some Thai and some Russian, the site has an image slider on the home page driven by posts, it works perfectly, click the Thai flag, get the Thai version etc. Click Here to see it in action.
I have now cloned that site to modify it for someone else and I have gotten rid of the translated posts and replaced them with only English and German versions, I have all of the settings identical, but when I click on the German flag icon, I get the English posts still.
I am at a loss as to why it won’t work as before ??? Click Here to see the new site.
Hoping someone can help me with this one.
PS: When I say it doesn’t work, the images in the slider don’t dislay the German version text, the text in the body below them is the German version.

]]>I ran an update on our WPLMS theme and wordpress to version 4.2.2 which recommends and supports your plugin https://support.vibethemes.com/support/solutions/articles/1000186510-translate-using-loco-translate-plugin and as predicted the translations I had setup in the plugin directories for the theme and its associated WPLMS plugins were removed and the translation I was trying to achieve (convert the word Quiz to Test) was removed.
I went through a previous support request concerning persistance and the above WPLMS TIPs post and set up the WPLMS theme and associted WPLMS plugins translations at the Global Language level :-
wp-content/languages/plugins
wp-content/languages/themes
I have checked file permissions using your file checker and they are all OK.
The site default language is set to GB and the translation is in GB with the correct MO and PO files saved in the above directories:-
Theme –
WPLMS-en-GB.po
WPLMS-en-GB.mo
Plugins –
wplms-front-end-en_GB.p
wplms-front-end-en_GB.mo
wplms-dashboard-en_GB.po
wplms-dashboard-en_GB.mo
vibe-customtypes-en_GB.po
vibe-customtypes-en_GB.mo
vibe-course-module-en_GB.po
Vibe-course-module-en_GB.mo
I have spent alot of time reading around on WPLMS forums and on your site and WordPress.com as to why my translations are not working. I even went back to storing the translations in the plugin directories and that did not work. All very strange.
Please Please help. This simple one word translation is important.

]]>With the latest updates of WooCommerce, the translations does not work in certain spots. For instance, the file “order-details.php” has been splitted into sveral files and now the “Customer Details” on the thankyou page is not translated. I had to override the file in my child theme to get that working. Another spot is “(Product name) was successfully added to your cart” message on the single product page. I have not yet found where to change that, but it′s really irritating that the language files does not seem to work in certain spots. I have double checke my language files (located in languages/woocommerce), and everything looks OK there.
Could you shed some light on this?
