How to custom make this AUTO theme into an AUTOTRADER marketplace

Hello community, im looking to build an online marketplace pretty similar to autotrader.com.

After researching a lot I just came with two themes that grabbed my attention, one has the functionality and the other the looks and design, my main question is how can I mix them to obtain the best of both worlds?

GOOD DESIGN THEME is AutoTrader by THEMEFUSE (lacks marketplace function with frontend submissions)

FUNCTIONALITY THEME is AutoDealer by THEMEDEPOT (has FES but lacks design IMO)

So basically I want the AutoTrader theme with Register-Login, Custom forms to submit vehicles and membership or pay per add plug in at the end to submit listing. Any ideas on how can I accomplish this?

Believe me, Ive made my homework and researched SEVERAL plug ins but it seems after lots of trying and error I just got even more confused

I tried some Register-LogIn, then redirecting to blank page where I inster custom forms and then redirecting to a membership plug in but it just got a mess.

Forum theme with trader/rating.

I’m having trouble finding something that fits my needs. Been looking through tons of themes to purchase for my future website and haven’t came across anything.

What i’m looking for is pretty much a straight forum based website, a website that the users can sign up for a sell different things. Then the users will be able to rate their purchase and experience to help the good sellers separate themselves from the bad sellers.

Even if it’s a forum based theme with a rating/trader plugin that would be great. I would really like to continue working with the wordpress because of the experience I have but if there is anything else i’m all ears.

Autotrader Theme code broken

As of this morning my website would no longer show inventory via the “inventory” tab. I contacted my web designer and he has said this is a broken code in the theme itself. This glitch has transformed into a full scale backfire, now when you go to my website www.mdmotors.ca all I get is “Error establishing a database connection”

Please help!!!

Advanced Custom Field Search

Hey All,

I have been trying to get an advanced search feature on my website.
An example of what I’m looking for is on Auto Trader the search box there is the kind of thing I’m looking for.

I tried following this tutorial but it seems to keep failing not matter what I do. Not too sure if it’s compatible with wordpress 3.3 :\

This search feature needs to be able to search custom fields too which I think is why it seems more complexed.

So I launched my site (www.xoods.com) about a week or two back. I have made quite a few posts and the level of traffic is surprising me. I was lucky enough to get indexed by G within 3-4 days and have been getting visitors on a daily basis.

I think I am lucky in that my site offers what is essentially valuable information for free. I might look to change that in time but for now am looking to build a following.

I have had some requests to change my charts into something you can zoom and pan around but I am not aware of a plug-in that allows this.

I know some might raise an eyebrow at my use of a standard theme but to be honest I simply haven’t seen anything that I prefer!

Feedback MUCH appreciated…
