Somebody knows how to do it?
Thank you !!
]]>I do have a question now:
I noticed, that if a new Pod is created, having the extra features “Trackbacks” and “Comments” checked under “supports” in the “Advanced Options”-tab, then of course, each Pod-item has these features. But after the Pod is populated with items, these features don’t disappear when they are unchecked in the Pod’s “Advanced Options”.
You may have guessed: I created a Pod with “Trackbacks” and “Comments” features, populated the Pod with over 300 items, and then changed my mind: I don’t want the Trackbacks and Comments features.
So here’s my question: is there a way to remove these features, without having to do that individually for each item, or to start over all along?
I suppose it’s possible to write a simple PHP-routine that does just that, but apart from the fact that I lack the skills to do that, it’s not very elegant. Actually I was surprised that removing these features from the Pods’ Advanced Options did’nt do the trick.
I do hope that you specialists have some interesting remarks on the subject, and maybe a solution.
I also hope that you are all in good health!
Kind regards,
Alfred

first of all I’d like to say thank you for this plugin. For me it’s a great solution dealing with avatars and data protection.
One detail could be improved in my opinion: Apparently the plugin alters the wp_list_comments() function. The result is, that avatars (and an “answer” link) are also showing up at trackbacks, which is not standard behaviour.
Would it be possible to change this?
Thank you and best regards,
Dave
]]>The box “Send Trackbacks” still appears under the editing area, but I don’t get the confirmation “Already pinged: …” anymore. I also checked with arXiv to check whether they receive the trackbacks anyway, and they don’t.
I assume the bug is with the Classic Editor plugin, as I don’t see any way at all to send trackbacks without it. Any help is appreciated.
I know that trackbacks are obsolete, but this is still the method that arXiv uses, so I need them in order to blog about scientific papers.
]]>I’m a software developer, and have been blogging for a long time, but mainly for my own personal use, as I use my blog to keep a track of useful tips and techniques.
However, as I’ve shared links with other developers, I’ve found that people like them. It occurred to me that it would be nice to try and have more developers see it.
I’m really old-fashioned, and don’t have an account with any social site. Even if I did, I’m not on a marketing exercise here, and am not about to blast my site link around. I’m just looking to expose it to more developers.
Now (after that waffle), I’ve read about postbacks and trackbacks, which look like a nice way to share links around. However, I don’t really understand how they work.
Can anyone explain (in simple terms ‘cos I’m really new at this stuff) how I get these links around?
Thanks
