If we were to delete the temporary WOFF Files within our tmp folder, would we crash the site or are we suppose to clean up those tmp files?
Do we need to go to newer version?
Is our WordPress permissions restriction on our production to restricted?
Any suggestions or help we can get on this issue is welcomed.

How can I set the plugin for an automatic delete of this files?
Thank You

Your account has an excessive number of files and is degrading the overall server performance
.
The offending directory was my comet-cache directory in one of my sites, which was full of .tmp files dating back to early 2016.
I spot checked several other sites of mine, and the comet-cache directory in those other sites (all hosted in the same account) were all clean, so I suspect it is a configuration issue with comet cache on that particular site, or a conflict with another plugin.
What steps do you suggest I take in troubleshooting? I manually cleaned the comet-cache directory yesterday, and today there are already 8 files that have accumulated.
The website in question is wmbc.ca.
Thanks in advance

]]>I have been using WordPress happily for some years now. Recently however a number of issues have come to light and I am trying to determine if they’re WordPress related or site hosting related.
1. My WordPress Blog is hosted at https://www.lipcrack.com/blog It is not run under the https that is on the rest of the site.
What I recently noticed when running some checks in the stats area of the WordPress Blog is that they are picking up a location for the site which to my knowledge does not exist.
That address is https://www.lipcrack.com/blog/?/blog.
Is this some programers little “inhouse joke” or is that something more serious I should be considering.
The reason I ask is :
2. Issues have come up with my hosting company and to some extent some of the way’s it was initially constructed in terms of file system and mail.
It has recently come to my attention that update mails are not being sent to when updates occur. In the process of taking a look at what the problem is I noticed that WordPress is creating tmp files on my server host with details of the new sign up names. I’m not sure why that has recently started occurring. Is that a recent upgrade of some description constructed by programmers or is it a more serious issue with my hosting company ?
The other reason why I suggest this is because along with noticing that those files are being created it’s also come to my attention that updates are not being mailed to my mailing list.
I would like to know how all these “problems” can be resolved.
At the same time I am also concerned because I no longer have control over when the WordPress updates because to some extent occasionally it’s telling me “it’s done it itself”.
]]>I am using the Avada Theme and in the file directory I keep getting avada100.tmp (and then avada101.tmp,avada102.tmp, etc.) being created and being stored in the wp-content file directory. I end up having thousands of them and keep having to delete them. They are all 0KB. Does anyone know what this is and how to stop it?
Thank you
]]>Today I noticed the space my site takes up is much larger. I do audios on the site so it is a big site anyway but today it was about 5GB bigger.
I have found a bunch of tmp files in the updraft folder prefixed backup_
Are they okay to delete now?
