Blocks title attributes from showing in main menus.

Title attributes not showing both with Tab and hovering with mouse. Tested now with WordPress 6.2.3; 6.4.3 and CP 2.0.0-rc1. With theme WeaverXtreme and also “2021”. Plugin version 2.1.7. Did not find any possible cause in WP Accessibility settings; all other plugins disabled for test, except Meks Quick Plugin Disabler. Did not notice this problem before (with WP versions 4.9 and 5.x). I switched currently to another Accessibility plugin. The question for me is, is it bug (regression), or could be something other cause (plugin settings?). Anyway many thanks to developer!

Title attribute on Frontpage Client logos not displaying

Hi, I am linking to websites using the logos in the Clients bar, only I can’t figure out how to have a ‘tooltip’ appear on hover. I have entered Title Attributes on the images but I don’t think there is a way to add a title attribute to the link?

GB Blocks – carousel – image title attributes

Hello there.

I’m using the Gutentor carousel module on my homepage, which is great and I’m really happy not having to use another plugin for this feature.

There is just one thing that is very annoying:

On mouse-over, it shows “page-title + a number” instead of the image’s title or title attribute. There seems to be no way to add an image title attribute anywhere or anyhow. This is driving me mad.

I can open the page with the classic editor and there I can add title attributes to the images. But there are 2 issues:

1. all the links and tags are gone and I have to add them in every single image.
2. (and this is a real issue) whenever I open the page with the Blocks Editor and safe it. ALL the tags including the title attributes are gone again. It’s obvious that GB Block is overwriting these tags.

So I could use the Classic Editor to solve the problem, but then I could never ever use the Blocks Editor on this page again!

There must be a better solution.

I’ve read (in 1-2 year old posts) that the title attributes are being deleted (or suppressed) by Gutentor/Gutenberg intentional claiming that it has no SEO purpose or benefit whatsoever. But the mouse-over effect for image-links is a major feature, that can not be ignored, can it?

So I’m hoping that either I have overlooked something, or that someone can offer me a solution or work-around.

Title Attributes and Labels for Menu

Hi – I am trying to make my site WCAG 2.1 and I keep getting two errors relating to the main menu navigation in the header.

the 1st error reads

There is no label to identify the purpose of the form control (1 occurrence)

and shows the following code segment –

How do I access the code to add the appropriate labels – I’ve looked in header.php, functions.php but can only find php code.

the 2nd error reads

The form control has no name (1 occurrence)

with the following code segment highlighted –

Again I cannot find where I can add a label to the generated html.

I am using the latest version of wordpress and I am using the shootingstar theme.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I have created a menu item of links

There is an option for Title Attributes and I would like the link to open in a new tab. I have tried adding target=”_blank” in this field but that doesn’t work. Is it possible?

Hi there,
I’m an absolute beginner playing around in a local child theme trying to understand stuff before actually putting it out there.
I’m building a restaurant site for some friends and they’ve asked me to have the entries in the menubar change into the Italian equivalent on mouseover.
I know this can be done using images but I would prefer to keep the site dynamic allowing my friends to change both menu entry and its mouseover entry through WP Admin.

So, basically: if “#access li:hover” show contents of Title Attribute (using classes, I think?)

Is that possible and if it is what do I need to change where?

Remove or edit mouse hover on navigation menu option

How do I remove or edit the hover text that is displayed on my navigation menu options up top?

The options listed are 2 pages and 3 category pages. About and Contact are just pages, so the mouse hover shows the Title of the page. No problem.

But the category pages graphic, web, video, shows the entire description of the categories as the hover text. I’ve done a search and it appears that descriptions is the default text that a category page shows, but how do I edit it so it shows the title instead or even completely remove it?

Remove Image Title Popup

When you hover over almost every image in –I’m assuming “most”— WordPress blogs, there is a pop-up that displays the file name of the image. I would like my blog to stop doing this.

I am currently using the Arjuna Theme. I am also using the “Remove Title Attributes” plugin, but it does not remove file-name popups in images.

I have been searching for an answer to this for a long time, and I am assuming that this can’t be that unpopular of an issue. It annoys me that I cannot find an answer through either search engines or forums. I have also attempted to find the answer using Firebug, but to no avail.

This must be a common issue. Can someone please offer me (and therefore the WordPress community) a suggestion, even if it’s a guess?
