Error 1: NextGEN Gallery : Tables could not created, please check your database settings
Error 2 when uploading images into gallery: Could not write to file. Please check filesystem permissions. Filename: D:\HostingSpaces\(XXX)\(YYY)\wwwroot\wp-content\gallery\gallery1
Read through the threads, tried what I can with my current access, didn’t work, I conclude that the permission aren’t set right.
Problem 1: I’m not the IT guy, I don’t have the direct access to tweak the settings, I would need to send a request to the IT guy with explanation on what needs to be done, etc
Problem 2: If it matters, updating WP is out of the question, the site is too old and customised to handle newer WP, tried it on localhost, broke more things than I can count
What is the proper permission needed for an IIS server for NGG to work correctly?

It almost feels like they do it on purpose.
Also, wordpress is a pretty big platform… Facebook should really put some muscle in to the development of this plugin… I mean, how hard can it be?

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I’ve been sitting in front of my computer for many, many, many hours trying to get some answers.
I created a CSS and HTML website via Twitter Boostrap toolkit. (it’s a framework that supplies clean cut CSS and Javascript plugins.)
I’m trying to add e-commerce and I want to take advantage of what WordPress offers.
How should I go about transferring my HTML and CSS files I have to word press?
My layout is as follows:
Header Image
Nav
Slideshow
Content
Footer
(No sidebar)
Fixed width of 960px.
My goal is to create a wordpress theme and then be able to incorporate ecommerce via wordpress. I also want to take advantage of multi-site and buddypress.
But my main goal right now is converting what I have to wordpress, then I’ll deal with that stuff later.
I tried to cut it up and put it in .php files, but I’m having a horrible time.
I’m using a lot of javascript files that are embedded into the HTML file and I’m using some inline code to override the external CSS style sheets.
My layout seems simple enough but I cannot find a matching theme and I really would like to convert what I have to wordpress.
I know HTML and CSS very well, but I know very little of PHP.
I even suffered through an entire lesson on lynda.com on how to create custom themes, but after an hour of lessons, I didn’t learn anything.
I was thinking about using the twenty eleven theme, but idk how to make the header a slideshow…but that might not even be a solution for me!
Please help D:

Can you help me get the first image aligned with the others? Whether is goes up, or the others go down…
Here’s what I have now: <p style= "padding: 0px 0px 0px 190px;>
<?php if (!is_home()) {?><?php }?>

I’m sure I changed something or didn’t change something enough, but I’m so tired I can’t think what.
Can someone with a reasonably clear mind help?
